I could not get a dog room on the first floor of the motel. Later found out that half the floor was still being renovated. So for a 20 Dollar pet charge we would be on the second floor. My 10 month old puppy got freaked out by the open steps and refused to go up to our room.
She was not budging up those stairs, so she had to sleep in the car all by herself.
I didn’t come back to see if push came to shove if I could get a first floor room, because I had already carried mine and the dog stuff up the stairs. I was tired and frustrated so I slept in the room upstairs.
I got up to walk her the next morning. I couldn’t take a shower as she wouldn’t let me leave her again.
