The hotel itself is beautiful, and most of the staff were wonderful. Miguel at the bar was excellent, and the young woman at the front desk was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing enough that I would not stay here again.
The biggest problem is that this hotel simply does not seem designed with older guests in mind. I had a queen-size bed surrounded by a platform, and there was basically one practical way to get into and out of the bed. For a younger person, maybe that is no big deal. For an older person with mobility issues, it is extremely difficult. The rooms are also very small and cramped.
The pillows were terrible. I asked whether they had better or different pillows, and apparently they did not. Maybe I am spoiled from staying at other hotels, but basic comfort should not be too much to ask.
The internet was another major problem. At times I could barely make a call, send a text, or use the internet. The television was just as frustrating and did not work properly about 90% of the time.
What bothered me most was the manager. A hotel manager should make guests feel comfortable and try to resolve problems. That was not my experience at all. The rest of the staff showed far more hospitality.
On top of everything else, I was charged for an additional day for reasons I still do not understand.
