An incredible 5 night stay from the porters and welcome to the pool, food, drinks, room service, Sully’s restaurant, rooms, housekeeping. No stone was left unturned and I’m pleased to say I have zero complaints! Thank you for a memorable and relaxing trip away :)

Check In was handled by Ally who was great. Boone helped organise transport to the airport . Sullys was a little hit and miss. We ate there 3 times, on one occasion we were asked to move 3 different times! Lots of new young staff.The pool on the 13th level is small and not easy to get in or out of ( no hand rails)

Great location, modern rooms, clean. If staying with teenage kids or someone that's not your partner the bathroom design is open with glass doors. The rooftop restaurant had great views although regardless if you are staying at Avani or not Friday and Saturday nights were absolutely full of young ones and couldn't find a spot for a drink , there is another option ground level although was empty on the 3 weeks we stayed.

Beautiful new hotel. Sauna had to be booked (inconvenient). Breakfast was very limited for the price. We had chosen the suite with an ocean view, but the bed faced the car park :-(. This was not a great design. Otherwise, a magnificent modern, luxury hotel!

Lovely hotel; however, it was anything but quiet. The local pub down the street kicked on until 2-3am, and the window glazing is paper-thin (Ocean Suite). So much for the advertised 'soundproof room'. Amenities and location were great, but I would not recommend it for a good night's sleep.

Recommend for two night stay due to late check-in otherwise can’t really take advantage of amazing amenities. Our stay was negatively impacted with room not being ready for another hour after 3pm which is brutal with two kids but apart from that - venue and facilities look impressive

Checkin was easy and bags were taken to room when the room was ready, we checked in early and they stored the bags for us. The toilet and shower doors are frosted and have a gap around them so potentially anybody staying with you could see you on the toilet etc as the doors face the bed area, all open plan. Everything was nice as new hotel. One lift door made a horrible squeak sound when it opened and the clock radio light couldn't be turned off so put it in draw. Staff very nice and pleasant and bed nice and comfortable. Pool area was good and a great view. Restaurant looked nice but food was a little expensive for what you got I thought. Overall very nice comfortable alternative option to stay at in Mooloolaba.

The rooms are luxurious,but yet relaxed. The staff are always on the lookout,for there guests. Greeting with polite and well mannered. Once all the kinks are sorted..like any new establishment wow wow. Do yourself a favour and go to the rooftop bar,and indulge in everything. 👏 We will be back.

Brand new hotel with a nice ambience. However not a fan of open plan hotel room as in no door or wall for the bathroom. The shower cubicle and the toilet cubicle each have a frosted glass door but that’s all. The “wardrobe” is open area hanging rack. The roof top pool is nice but woefully small area for the size of the hotel. Bar area on level 12 is really nice. Watermelon and goats cheese salad is excellent.

Avani is a lovely new hotel close to the beach & cafes. The issue is when you are there over the weekend, which was our case. On the Saturday we thought it would be nice to go for a swim & have a quiet drink in the restaurant on the top level. When we arrived we couldn't even get a seat. It wasnt until we checked out that we were told that the restaurant was operated by a different company & they had booked other parties in on the weekend. As paying guests, we should have been advised of this, that the restaurant is run independently from the hotel which means you do not always have access to this facility.

Two problems with this expensive room.. 1) Design and layout of the bathroom .. open to the room, 2 cupboards with frosted glass doors for toilet and shower. Once out of the shower you are open to the whole room! No privacy at all. Dumb and stupid design. 2) TV channels .. no sport, no decent channels. They rely on you to stream whatever you want to watch - however, if you are from another country (e.g. NZ), you are geo-blocked. Unless you have a VPN, you can't see anything current. So - not impressed with this hotel and won't stay here again.

Sadly as a new hotel they are still learning, staff were fabulous, no fault with any of them, the amenities were definitely not to our liking, Glass doors on both shower & toilet was a bit overwhelming for an older couple, there was no privacy, the younger generation might have a bit of fun with it. The rooftop bar, fantastic, but, but there should an area the hotel guests use exclusively, at least till a certain time, as I said it's very new & they will probably improve with time.

We booked a Suite with Sea View for a one-night stay at a cost of $750, expecting a premium experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Our check-in was delayed by an hour, with our room not being ready until 4:00 pm instead of the advertised 3:00 pm. While the hotel offered complimentary drinks, losing an hour of a one-night stay was disappointing. The biggest let-down was the room itself. We specifically paid more for a Suite with Sea View rather than a cheaper room because we wanted to enjoy the ocean outlook. Instead, the view was largely dominated by neighbouring high-rise buildings, with only a small glimpse of the ocean visible between them. If this is the standard for a Sea View room, we believe that should be made much clearer when booking, as it did not match our expectations for the premium room category. To top it off, the toasted sandwich we ordered through room service arrived heavily burnt. The suite was clean and the staff were polite, but when you’re paying $750 for a single night, you expect the entire experience to reflect that price point. Unfortunately, between the delayed check-in, the disappointing view and the poor room service, we left feeling that the stay did not represent good value for money.
