Unethical attitude
We made our reservation in this hotel in June, three months earlier than our arrival in September. We booked two separate studio rooms for me and my colleague, and we immediately paid full cost. Our reservation for two rooms was confirmed by the hotel and everything looked fine. However, just two days before our arrival, a person from hotels.com called me and said that the hotel was unable to reserve two studio rooms, and instead, offered a single apartment with two rooms. Since it was not possible to find another hotel at that time in this place (which is near to our conference venue) and we already paid the whole cost, we had to accept this offer. However, our stay was uncomfortable because air-conditioners were outside the rooms and we had to keep the doors open while sleeping. It was difficult to keep our own privacy, since we are indeed of opposite genders. The main problem here is the unethical attitude of the hotel administration because they had "ill-gotten gains" by placing us into a single apartment instead of two separate rooms, and by informing us just two days before the arrival, which does not leave us enough time to find another appropriate hotel.
