We had an ocean front suite that was immaculate inside, just needs some door seals to prevent the on shore breeze mixing with the foul stench of sargasm, the workers worked hard every day trying to clear it all. We loved relaxing on the jetti on the loungers, shame they didn't have one section to fish off of, no fishing allowed on their jetti, although you could just stand in the sea if need, as its really shallow. Food was excellent, i just wished they wouldn't light the fire pit when the wind was on shore, filled the restaurant with smoke. house reef/snorkel was rather dull, recommend they take their guests somewhere slightly better.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was amazing and the location was gorgeous! The food and drinks were also great! We were really frustrated because the Expedia listing said the resort had tennis courts which it does not! They also do not have bicycles as the website claims.

The ocean was visible from our room and the room was very clean and nice. The daily housekeeping was impeccable. Our only complaint was the smell from the seaweed that was dredged up on shore was very strong. They worked overtime every day to manage it and haul it away, but there was a big pile stacked near the rooms and the smell is just putrid. Fortunately, the wind blew every day that we were there and that helped to lessen the smell.

Our stay had incredible highlights but also serious concerns. Mario, our boat driver, was amazing from start to finish — professional, accommodating, and especially protective of our pregnant friend. We felt safe and cared for with him. Casi at the front desk went above and beyond, securing us a last-minute excursion that became the highlight of our trip and arranging rush delivery of delayed luggage once it arrived in Belize. A security guard also personally helped me to my penthouse when I was too sick to walk and ensured my friends knew I was safe. Unfortunately, we experienced repeated illness after eating at the resort, and other guests reported the same. The faucet water was brown, and after getting sick we boiled all water for brushing teeth and washing. Service at the main restaurant was inconsistent; one staff member was rude and repeatedly got orders wrong. Our pregnant friend was served a “cheeseburger” without a patty, then chicken instead. A replacement later contained plastic. Dining off-resort requires planning: Tranquility Bay is 6 minutes by golf cart but needs reservations; El Norte (excellent) is 30 minutes away. Anything farther requires long cart rides or a boat. A golf cart is essential. The 3-bedroom penthouse and pool were beautiful, but my birthday décor was delayed and $85 went missing. Staff like Mario and Casi were exceptional, but improvements are needed

Excellent food and atmosphere! Not crowded; seats always available at the pool. The views are stunning. We went out on the free snorkel ride included with our stay which was very nice!

staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. it is far from everything and costs money to go into town from the resort - there is two pools and a pickle ball court for entertainment, otherwise not much to do. we weren’t able to enjoy the beach due to all the seaweed despite them working hard to clear it. only one restaurant for meals with the same menu everyday, unfortunately my husband got food poisoning on the second to last day

Summary: It’s remote and has no local shops restaurants or things to do outside of resort. 25min boat trip to town (San Pedro) and cost $30usd per person for round trip. Staff were amazing and the saving grace in my opinion. There is 1 full restaurant and 1 lunch shack, nothing more. Good selection and quality of food. Amenities were lacking, 2 pools, pickleball court, kayaks and that’s it. It’s 1.25hr by golf cart or taxi via very small bumpy ride. The beach is covered by seaweed and the staff try their best to clear it but it’s not possible due to amount. Resort was previously owned and operated as margaritaville but sold and rebranded as Reef Haven. I cannot speak enough about the staff and their willingness to help and be friendly. Yani at the welcome center was so kind and informative. I would t go back personally due to its remoteness and limited amenities.

Everything was fantastic from the time our plane touched down. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable. The food and drinks were great. This resort is off the beaten track but that made it even more relaxing. No crowds. Great beach. The best staff.

The address on Expedia is in San Pedro proper, but actually the resort is about an hour golf cart drive up the coast. We'd looked this place up prior so knew that, but others at the resort were confused. The resort arranged speedboat pick up and drop off for us to the resort once we arrived in San Pedro. They were prompt and even gave us a towel to use as a blanket. Room was very clean. No complaints. Food: No buffet, all al la cart. Some of the freshest, nicest fish dishes served. There's the main restaurant, the patio, the beach grill, room grills, the poolside, and room service. All have different menus, but you can order any item at the restaurant or at poolside. I took pictures of all the menus then ordered what we wanted wherever we were. They were very accommodating with personalizing things if they had the ingredients. Drinks: there is a bar on the beach, the pool, and one attached to the restaurant, plus can order inside the restaurant. We aren't big drinkers but I had a few. There was a list in our room of what was included and what cost exxtra. All house stuff is included and only if you want fancy named stuff does it cost more. They personalized a few drinks for us and even made a few up. Staff: all fantastic!! Everyone was kind, accommodating, went out of their way to make our stay nice. They treated our kiddo like family Activities: we did snorkel outside resort. Massage was great, shell painting, live music, karaoke, firepits. Very chill laid back vibes

All the staff were very kind and courteous! Yanissa, Fernando, Santiago, Rashely and Erwon including all the rest did such an amazing job! Our room was kept immaculate, the food was amazing, and it was nice to have access to a top rate spa!

VERY lacking in amenities. They advertise that they have a "spa" with manicures and pedicures, but when you try to book an appointment, it's "oh, we don't have the equipment yet". Come one, how hard is it to go and buy some nail polish? They claim to have bikes to use, but if you try to reserve some, same story: "they are out for maintenance". Every day, "out for maintenance". The lovely beach they show with crystal clear turquoise water is actually brown muddy water apparently due to a huge pile of soil which for some unknown reason had to be dumped right by the water. I never saw anyone swimming there. Also, the food is really sub-par, I guess they couldn't find a decent chef. And there is nowhere else to eat! The only way to get to Reef Haven is a 40-minute boat ride from San Pedro town. It is VERY isolated, but their website does not tell you that. And they will charge you a pretty penny if you want to take the boat into town, other than your scheduled pick-up and drop off on the days you check in and check out. And oh by the way, they ignored my message about our pick-up time and there was no-one there to get us when we got off the ferry from Belize City. All in all a very poorly run place. Thre staff is mostly indifferent, a few were downright unfriendly. I will say that the 2-bedroom condo-type room we stayed in was attractive, clean, and nicely furnished, although very pricey.

It was an amazing stay. The staff was excellent and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended for a rest and relaxing.

Neat resort away from everything. Nicely remodeled. The staff is the nicest and most attentive I have ever seen. Food was very good considering everything came from one kitchen. A great relaxing experience. If you want no crowds, and like to snorkel, fish, or just relax around a pool this is your place. The boat ride from town to the resort was 30 min each way but we loved it!
