Disappointing Customer Service
The hotel’s location was excellent and made getting around the city very easy — definitely its strongest point.
However, I found the room to be quite outdated and was surprised that there was no kettle or coffee maker, which made things a bit inconvenient.
Check-in was only available at 15:30, which felt a bit late.
I had originally booked one night and then made a second booking for the following night. Both reservations were for the same type of room. When I arrived, I was told by the hotel staff that the second booking was for a more expensive room and that I needed to pay an additional fee plus city tax.
I contacted Hotels.com to clarify the situation, and their representative confirmed that both of my bookings were indeed for the same room type. They told me they would speak with the hotel on my behalf. After doing so, they informed me that the hotel refused to refund the extra charge.
Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed. I do not believe the hotel handled the situation in a customer-friendly or professional manner.
