This a mixed bag for me.
Cons:
-I booked through Expedia. I wanted to change the reservation to make it one day shorter. Expedia wanted to add $800 to the cost of the trip plus charge a one-day fee. NONE of this is disclosed.
Tina at Abitta tried to help but that problem was with Expedia.
-The breakfast plan is a voucher you get for the restaurant next door. There is only one item on the menu it covers. The meal was eggs, choice of meat, white toast, fried tator tots and one cup of coffee. Anything else you have to pay for.
-My safe did not work properly. I couldn't use a combination. They gave me a key for it instead.
-For the first couple of days, the wi-fi in my room was so weak it was unusable. I told the front desk about it and they said they would have IT people come and check it. I asked my nextdoor neighbor and it turns out he was using a different network. It worked great. Don't know why the front desk didn't suggest that.
-Housekeeping was uneven. I didn't have any for the first couple of days. They gave me a sign to put on the door but even that didn't always work.
-Elevator broke twice. Five flights of stairs is tough with a bad knee. They got it fixed pretty quickly, though.
Pros:
-Staff was universally very nice and tried to help.
-My room had character, a nice view, comfortable bed, newly renovated bathroom. It was quiet and I was very comfortable there.
-Good location.
