The Homefield Inn is a very cute small modern Inn. Check-in was very easy and efficient. The room was available earlier than expected, that was very nice. The floors were moist when I arrived, which I believe was from not enough drying time after mopping. There were some stains & no trash can. I mentioned those things to the management and it was addressed immediately. It was overall a decent stay, management is helpful, nice and responsive. I think it would be beneficial to train staff to be more thorough with the cleaning of rooms & that would make for a great stay as well as aide in preserving the unique charm of the property. Thank you to Omar, General Manager who addressed my concerns in a timely fashion.

There really were no amenities. The room was really clean and nice. It didn’t have a trash can until I saw staff and said I was missing one. The young man got me one right away. The door codes were always an issue. I had to call several times because the code wouldn’t work. Issue was always solved immediately. The bed was super comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed our three day stay. We would stay again. Only thing really missing was a pool. And a blow dryer which I didn’t complain about because I brought my own “ JUST IN CASE!” ( blow dryer, not pool)

Weird self-check-in arrangement--no reception desk or staff, just an e-mail with a code to let yourself in & out and a phone number in case you need anything--very impersonal, but o.k. if you don't like dealing with people. Fresh, tidy, and trendy inside. Bedside reading lights and a chair to sit on would be nice (stools at the counter are too high for tying shoes), as would a light outside the door that doesn't attract bugs. Bed seemed short and sheets were crinkly and starchy. Adequate place to stay when passing through; would not do for more than one night.

Got In around 2:00 am. The room assigned to us was in the very back parking lot. There was nowhere to put our luggage like a table or luggage rack or anything, no desk to set anything on either. The vinyl flooring was installed horribly and was buckling up in places and was sticky like. Wished we had brought slippers as our socks were pretty dirty from just a few times walking on the floor before putting our shoes on. The Pex plumbing was visible and running along the ceiling. The hot and cold for the sink and shower were backwards. It appeared to be a single wide trailer cut up to make three or four separate rooms. I will pass on this hotel in the future.

It was very convenient close to Cedar Point and all shopping centers, restaurants.. the bathroom was a little dirty but nothing major. The beds were comfy, there is not a microwave in the room, very quiet it felt safe while we stayed. Overall the place was nice. We would go back there.

This property was so wonderful to stay at. I am not the age of 21 just yet so I am always looking for budget freindly, yet safe, clean, and comfortable places to stay. My group of 4 loved the area, loved the updated amenities, and we appreciated how close and conveniently located it is to Sandusky’s main attraction, Cedar Point. Communication to check in, and out was seamless and staff were very friendly and helpful. I have stayed in a fair share of nice inns, and hotels, but have never gone out of my way to review one. This is my exception. 10/10 experience.

Cute, comfy, but needs some maintenance

The room was cozy and well Air conditioned which was important given the heat. The bed was comfy and sheets were clean. Tbw room could use several hooks to allow for hanging clothes and towels; there wasn’t anywhere to they towels in between showers. The property itself was in need of maintenance, as we found several handfuls of broken glass, screws, bolts, cut wires and other shrapnel as we walked around. The location was a bit run down overall but you can tell the owners are trying to bring up the level of attractiveness. The baseball theme was cute.

Pulling up here was nothing like the expectations that showed in the pictures. The pictures must be from when it was first flipped. There were weeds everywhere grown up and the place looked to be not in business. We never received our check in information that was supposed to be texted to me the morning of arrival. When we arrived close to 2pm I had to call to get our door code. Stepping in the room in smelled like rubbing alcohol which if anyone knows that smell typically indicates one thing. Before coming I called the company and asked if they had blow dryers in the room which I was told they did. It did not have a blow dryer, then come to find out we had no garbage can so 2 phone calls later they finally drop off those 2 items. The garbage can was so small that one 16oz bottle filled it up. The next day we tried to shower and the shower didn't work at all. I had to call them 5 times on this trip. They did fix the shower but all of this delayed us. The towels smelled of strong white vinegar as well. The bugs inside this place was crazy thankfully we found no bed bugs. But somehow I got a tick on me while inside this room! Overall the room was mostly dirty with used q-tips behind the sink, the floor seems to have never been even swept let alone swiffered or mopped. Charging 254.00 a night for this stat was absolutely insane. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place at all.

I recently stayed at the Homefield Inn in Sandusky, and our experience was truly exceptional! The hotel features a modern sports theme that appeals to both kids and adults, highlighted by a striking mural in our room showcasing athletes in baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball, along with artistic elements representing local attractions. One standout feature was the inclusion of lockers in the room, complete with a locker room bench. This thoughtful addition allowed our team to store their belongings while we found it handy for resting our luggage. The self-check-in process was also remarkably efficient; we appreciated being able to check in quickly without waiting for a front desk agent, and the clear signage made it easy to navigate if we needed any assistance. We would recommend following your texts and emails to ensure the same experience. We received our room info a couple hours prior to check in time on the day of arrival which provided us with our room number and code. While there was a minor quirk with the bathroom plumbing (hot and cold controls were reverse) it was evident that the property is undergoing renovations, with staff actively working to enhance the facilities. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and I am looking forward to staying here again for future tournament trips at the local sports centers. Homefield Inn combines modern amenities with a fun sports theme, making it an excellent choice for families and sports teams. Highly recommended!

I was pleasantly surprised once we entered the room. The exterior was of an older structure but it was obvious the rooms had been overhauled recently. Very clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. Nice mini fridge to store our drinks etc and the room A/C was top notch. There is a Kroger within a short walk for supplies and the surrounding area looked very clean and safe. Overall I would stay here again as the facility is only 3 miles from Cedar Point.

Fantastic, fun, clean, well designed rooms with comfy, nice bed and accoutrements and parking right outside your door. Great staff and no fuss access process too. We stayed two nights to go to Cedar point and we are glad we did because hotels near the shoreline or on the island didn't look worth the money.

Fun room decor (sports themed, including lockers as closets), very well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location near food/shopping/sites. 100% recommend, would definitely stay there again!

Literally only thing id say is to add a lamp thats a calmer light in a smaller space, the light was a teeny too bright, but otherwise absolutely wonderful and we will be come back
