The hotel receptionist did not provide any information about the hotel upon arrival. We had to visit the front desk to request pool towels and obtain basic hotel details. During checkout, we had to carry our luggage down two flights of stairs and walk to reception because no one responded to our request for assistance. We stayed in Room 201-K, a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit. The furnishings were very simple, and the twin beds were quite uncomfortable. Upon entering the unit, there was a strong humidity odor, and there were many mosquitoes inside the room. No elevators. The master bathroom consistently had a strong sewage odor, similar to untreated wastewater, which made it very unpleasant. Additionally, the glass shower door was not installed properly and swung from side to side, creating a safety hazard when entering the shower. I did report this issue during checkout. The kitchen was not properly equipped; there were no basic supplies available, not even a kitchen towel. The Wi-Fi connection was extremely slow. The reception staff appeared very disorganized, and overall the unit felt outdated and in need of a full renovation. Pros:The beach was nice, and the food was acceptable. The servers were very kind and attentive. The pool area was nice, although it was not as large as advertised. Guests have the option to add an all-inclusive package or stay without it. spacious, large closets, good air conditioning, fans.

DO NOT COME HERE they false advertising. The beach have seaweed piles pier left and right with a million boats on the middle you limited with a water access but you don’t want to go inn because all the boat is letting out a sewer water here. The Buffett is smaller than my kitchen at home. Food is limited and not fresh. Room is ok but not factional phones is not hooked up on the room you have to walk down 4 floor at a middle of the night if you need something from a front room service don’t speak any English. you got a jacuzzi on your balcony but only with cold water if you got a water in to maybe warm up with a weather is started to turn green after 1 hour. We left after 24 hour and paid for an other hotel Grand Princess Bavaro was great. This hotel don’t refund any money.

I returned home last night after a 15-day stay at this resort. Check-in was quick and efficient. Although the buffet had just closed, we were informed about room service. Overall, the staff was wonderful—kind, patient, and helpful, even with our Spanglish. I would rate the staff 9/10, with the exception of one young lobby bar attendant who could improve her attitude. The buffets were consistently good. The soups were excellent, and breakfasts were outstanding with a wide variety of breads, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruits, juices, and desserts. 9/10, only because much of the food was overly salted. The specialty reservation restaurants were disappointing. There appeared to be poor quality control, with some meat undercooked or too tough to chew. 5/10. The beach was nice but not your typical Caribbean beach that I’m used to. Snorkelling was not possible due to dark water. 6/10. We stayed in a two-bedroom deluxe ground-floor suite beside the pool ! The room was clean and comfortable, but the Jacuzzi was not heated and unusable. A kitchen was provided but lacked basic cooking items. The main issue was a strong sewer gas smell in room 102G coming from the bathroom drains. Maintenance dismissed the issue, though it was very real and needs proper plumbing repair. I would have loved to seen somewhere a list of daily events so us visitors could plan our week. Would I return? Yes, but I would also like to explore more of the Dominican Republic. The resort is beautiful. It was an excellent value for the price we paid. If you’re balling on a budget and are looking for a quiet, low key get away Bakour is the place to go. The room was clean, the food options were tasty and staff members are always ready to help.

I’ll start by saying this: you get what you pay for. We was here 5 days The bad: This is a very quiet resort with no entertainment at all. If you’re looking for fun, activities, or nightlife, this is not the place. The staff seemed very overworked—some were friendly, but many appeared moody and exhausted, which showed in the service. The food was okay but very repetitive, with little seasoning. It was also hard to get reservations at the specialty restaurants, and honestly, the specialty restaurant food wasn’t that great either. The air conditioning did not work well in the bedrooms—only the living room cooled properly. The refrigerator didn’t keep food cold, and it wasn’t just our unit; other guests had the same issue. There were no pots, pans, cups, or utensils for cooking. The surrounding area is very run-down, with construction going on, and after 9 PM it gets very noisy, which made relaxing difficult. The good: The two-bedroom villa was very spacious and clean, which was a big plus. Room service was limited but available until 2 AM. The pool areas were clean, and the view helped make up for some of the downsides 🌴 Overall: I’d give this resort a 6/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆☆☆☆ If you just want a clean place to sleep, relax by the pool, and don’t expect much entertainment, this resort may work for you. But if you’re looking for more fun, better food, luxury, and entertainment, I’d recommend skipping this resort and choosing another option 😊

The staff was friendly, the room smelled bad, the food was not great, mediocre breakfast buffet. Drinks were good and the beach was beautiful.

Room was great- two bedroom with a huge balcony. Washing machine/dryer and full kitchen - AC worked very well. Staff went above and beyond/ service was 5 star. This resort is very quiet- you’re not going have nightly entertainment like big resorts or a party crowd. If you want a quiet resort to relax this is the best resort. There is very little outside the resort so the all inclusive is a must unless you want to cook every meal yourself. The ocean is very murky- your not getting carribean like water, but there were palapas and lounge chairs (and there were no issue securing one). Pools were super clean. Bakour was great and easy to get a reservation. Top shelf liquor you cannot pay an up charge you actually have to buy the full bottle and triple the cost of what it is in the US. Employees were great, happy and a pleasure to deal with. Barista was amazing!

This was NOT a vacation resort, it was a very small hotel with several apartment blocks that were mostly privately owned. The entrance was in the middle of what the taxi driver called "City of Sinners" with large blocked gates which was very intimidating. The hotel was very underwhelming and very small. The washrooms between the lobby and the buffet restaurant had black mold on the ceilings. The buffet had one main counter which held salads on one side and hot food on the other. One small counter with dessert and fruit and another with breads. Very small with little change daily. One bar just outside the main lobby with amazing staff but only a few guests at any given time of day or night. The pool was very nice and ran the length of the property between the apartment blocks. The only other restaurant was at the end of the pool. It was supposed to be a Japanese restaurant that switched between Japanese and Italian which required reservations. Unfortunately, during the 7 nights we were there, they never offered Japanese. There is a bar on the back of the restaurant that offered snack items for lunch. There were several evenings throughout our stay that the buffet was not open due to lack of guests or they were serving local food on the patio. No other food options were available. The beach was beautiful and weather great. They offered darts and bocci ball with NO entertainment. There was another bar on the beach that stayed open later playing music from a sound system.

Bar not well stocked and all inclusive alcohol seemed very watered down. 50 percent of staff did bare minimum for service and didnt care if guests were happy but performed duties that were asked of them.

Servicio al cliente? Lo mejor de lo mejor, super amables, super divertidos, super atentos, desde recepción, hasta personal de cocina y bar. Quiero agradecer especialmente a Saimy de recepción, que me ayudó muchísimo desde el día 1 que ingresé, hasta el día que me fui. A los bartenders del bar que está al lado del lobby, Jazmin, y la chica de anteojos (no recuerdo el nombre) y los 2 chicos también, del turno de la mañana y el turno de la tarde-noche. Su atención fue siempre de lo mejor! Habitaciones? Siempre limpias, siempre ordenadas, super cómodas y super equipadas. Comida? Definitivamente de las mejores que he probado en hoteles 5 estrellas, simple y sencillamente, lo mejor de lo mejor. Es un hotel que está muy completo y muy bien administrado, y definitivamente volveré en el futuro! Muchas gracias por todo!

10/10 what I like more about the place is that they have amazing people working there . They’re so sweet and above that very polite . Diffidently I would come back to the same place soon . I’m very impressive with how they talk to you in a nice and educated way. Gorge was so nice and helpful . The woman in the gift shop at the resort was amazing and Manuel he can help you at the gift shop too , but we got the adventures package with him and it’s worth it !!! :) / at the bar by the beach ( Alcides ) very respectful and nice with a bring sweet smile . House keepers same always so educated with a good morning hi . The price is amazing as well ! Everything is outstanding here . ) Ernesto it’s the night shift at the from gate door when people arrives , amazing man and so helpful too. They all deserved a 10-plus . Resort has activities and if you like quiet place with good people o recommend you to stay at this place . Took me day to served it because I’m very selective . Enjoy of tour staying here :)
