We recently stayed at this resort and overall had a pleasant experience. The property is very clean, quiet, and not crowded, which made it easy to relax. The beach itself is beautiful and well maintained. However, there are not nearly enough lounge chairs. If you arrive around 10 a.m., you’ll likely spend a good amount of time walking back and forth trying to find one. I understand the resort just opened on December 1st, but if you know how many rooms are booked, it seems reasonable to provide enough basic essentials for your guests.
The Italian restaurant was clearly understaffed — it took about 20 minutes just to get water, and the fish we ordered was dry. This was disappointing, especially since it’s the only restaurant that requires reservations. The other restaurants were decent and more consistent.
Our room was clean when we arrived, except for the shower floor, which we had to rinse ourselves. After the first night, we used the door hanger to skip housekeeping, but once we removed it the next day, no one came to clean — not that day, nor the next, until late at night.
The spa was another letdown. A 60‑minute massage was $169, which would be fine if the spa felt special, but the space was very plain and lacked any warmth or coziness. I wouldn’t return to the spa based on this experience.
On a positive note, booking a trip to Xcaret Park through the resort was very easy, everything went smoothly, and we enjoyed it a lot.
Despite the issues, the resort is new, clean,
