It’s a fairly basic, mediocre hotel, but an incredibly convenient location to the Petra Visitor Centre with free parking. The room is very basic, and our double bed was just two singles pushed together with a sheet over top. The water pressure in the shower was fairly low, and with the window being single pane glass, you will likely be woken up by the early AM call to prayer unless you’re a very heavy sleeper. The a/c was good and there’s a little fridge that does get your bottled water nice and cold.
We only had breakfast there, and the buffet was a little lacklustre, but serviceable if you just need a quick bite before setting off for the day. The majority of the restaurants are about a 20 min walk further up the hill, but if your priority is proximity to the entrance of Petra at a budget price, then this is a good option for you. And you can always pop into the Movenpick a few doors down for a cold beer on the way back from Petra.
