The staff was great, very friendly and doing their best to give us service.
But here are some suggestions for necessary improvements to be done:
- hire staff that to a larger extent than today can speak English adequate for their job, e.g. as waters. There were very few waters, we met just one, who spoke English. We had to ask "our" water to fetch her so we could get information about the food and wine.
- Although we had reserved a room including breakfast months before our arrival we got a time slot for breakfast at 9.30. A little late for our planned activities during the day. When we arrived at the breakfast room the first day it looked like a mess, there was no table laid, no glasses for orange juice, no extra plates for bread and cold cuts and the small coffee machines were slow and sometimes troublesome to use. The second day we skipped our time slot and went down to breakfast earlier. No problem. Please, skip the time slots for breakfast, it is inadequate as it is a breakfast buffet. Most hotels we know do not have this arrangement, it feels a little like old Sovjet. Tbis goes also for other Paradores we have visited
- The parking (excellent in the basement) was very expensive, 20 euros a day.
