The hotel was disappointing in several aspects. The overall condition appeared rundown; the rooms were passable but could have benefited from more thorough cleaning. The hallways had an unpleasant odor, and the carpets are in need of replacement. Additionally, the noise levels from outside were disruptive, with sounds from traffic, horns, firetrucks, and people throughout the hotel.
Upon checkout, we approached the front desk to arrange transportation to the airport. The staff initially claimed they could provide a driver at a lower rate than our booked Uber, which was $100. We were later contacted and informed that the hotel’s service would cost $60, and we agreed to this arrangement. However, when the driver arrived, we were unexpectedly told it would be $145. This discrepancy, along with the delay and apparent lack of transparency, was both frustrating and unacceptable.
Overall, despite our enjoyment of New York City, our experience at this property was disappointing, and I would not consider staying here again or recommending it to others.
