Scary place
Hotel is getting run down. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The shower heads barely sprayed any water. When we went to leave there was a homeless man slumped against our exit door doing drugs. We went to the front desk to check out and tell them about the issue but no one was there. The whole office was abandoned.

Parking hell
There wasn't much room to park this one person had multiple cars constantly taking up parking spaces with for sale signs written all over them and this truck kept parking behind cars instead of in a space

Poorly maintained
Beds are poor quality, you’ll drop into the middle. Lamp shade was disgusting & lamp didn’t work properly (disco effects ensued). Toilet seat was beyond cleanable. Everything was poorly maintained. ‘Breakfast’ is cold grab & go bag. Pool is indefinitely closed. Front desk person was kind though and moved us from loud(& grosser) room on first floor into a quieter & cleaner (though still poorly maintained) room on 2nd floor.

I chose to be outside of Portland for a change. I picked Red Lion because of their positive reputation and breakfast provided. I did not realize it would be instant oatmeal and fruit.
Check in was fine. After checking in, we walked into the hallway and it smells like animal pee everywhere. I was nervous our room would smell, but it doesn't. Beds are good. Blanket is the thinnest thing I've ever seen. But it's ok.
Left for the day. Came back and I had no new coffee or things in the room. Fine print on the map given is we have to request staff to come.
Pool and sauna are closed until further notice.
We won't be back.

Awful
It had the name red lion, so I figured there would be some standards and it would be decent, but I was appalled at how gross it was. Mold on the ceiling fan without a cover that had about 2 inches of dust up in. It smelled like stale cigarettes. I felt like I was in a very dirty motel six in the 70s when people smoke in them. I couldn’t sleep. I ended up checking out and going to a different hotel. The only positive thing I can say is the staff was very nice. The Continental breakfast was some really brown gross bananas displayed in a cardboard box, coffee, and a few dry packets of oatmeal.

Was expecting a dump considering the price was way lower than others in the area, but it was exceptional. The only thing that I didn't like was the lack of options for breakfast, and that breakfast had to be carried to the room since there is no seating available.

One night stay
You can tell the property has made some renovations but unfortunately the cigarette smell lingers in the halls, probably from the carpet that seems to still be OG
Otherwise, our room had accurate temperature control, the breakfast was pretty good, and everything was clean inside the room.
Reception was patient and i was able to get checked in within less than an hour of booking a room.
The general area is pretty safe it seemed, and the property was pretty quiet throughout the evening.
Id stay again.

The only downfall fall was that they were paving the hotel parking lot so not of places to park. We had to park over night across the street at Taco Bell. Other that everything was great The staff were super friendly, hotel was nice. I like that the pool was indoor so you can yse year around.
