Cute and accommodating
I stayed at Hotel Chelsea for one night before embarking on a cruise. I was mostly happy with my experience. The hotel was cute and cozy. It had great ambiance downstairs with the restaurant/bar attached. My only issue is that there seemed to be some miscommunications. I received a message on Hotels.com before check-in that the hotel would not hold my luggage, so we paid to have our luggage held somewhere else for the day until we could check in. When we checked in, we received a paper that stated that they did indeed hold luggage. They did hold our luggage for a couple hours after we checked out. Additionally, the website stated that there was free coffee in the lobby at a certain time, but hotel staff confirmed with me that was not available when I came down to look. However, a very kind staff member provided us with complimentary Cuban espresso for the mishap. All in all, I would stay here again when I return next year.
