Very Busy and with Poor Service
Upon checking in, we were given room cards to rooms that were already occupied. We found a family in the room watching TV - the family was as alarmed as we were. No sincere apology was offered when this mistake was pointed out. Instead, the reception person tried to upsell the restaurant breakfast package. Note that the restaurantvin the hotel offers overpriced Italian food.
The 2 rooms that we eventually got were somewhat unclean with stains on the sheets and small litter lying around.
We had booked rooms that could sleep atcleast 3 people but were given rooms for 2 people. Note that the 3-person rooms are limited in number.
This hotel is close to Kyoto Station and is hence extremely popular with tourists. There is not much close by besides the station. There are better neighborhoods to stay in Kyoto if you are interested in shopping and culture.
Needless to say, we will never be going back to this hotel again.
