We paid big money for the Eiffel Tower suite and received a welcoming champagne bottle and letter from the General Manager, Marina Goyheneche. Unfortunately, the MAJORITY of amenities in this room were broken. The bathtub did not properly drain, nor did it fill up whatsoever; after complaining to the front desk via phone, we were told that they couldn't do anything about it and that they were well aware of the broken tub but that there wasn't anything they could do. The television had a huge dent and was utterly broken as well; again, we were told the same thing, they were aware, and there was nothing they could do about it. We spoke to the general manager upon checkout and were told that they were sorry for the broken amenities, which negatively impacted our stay in the top-floor Eiffel Tower Suite; however, there was nothing they could do about it. To say this was disappointing is an understatement. Yes, the view was phenomenal, but given these guys are charging a similar price to the Shangri-La with an even better view and renowned reputation for service, for The Eiffel Tower Suite, our stay in the suite was not all that we dreamed it would be. The manager either needs to work with better maintenance staff to fix these recurring issues right away, or she may need a replacement altogether for more effective and efficient staff.
