Room for improvement
We were not happy about our check-in experience, because we stood there for too long waiting while the hotel employee talked to her mother, unhurried. It was long enough that my companion and I kept sharing looks between us. The other clerk took the time to tell us how, when the hotel was busy and she was on the phones, she started telling callers to reserve online instead of helping them. She explained that the third-party reservations were less expensive (which is fine), but I thought it was odd that she was just trying to get people off the phone. The room really needed updating. Both the carpet and (especially) the bath mat were visibly dirty. There was also some kind of a suspicious stain on one of the blankets on the bed. It was probably nothing, but it made me nervous. Lastly, the "artwork" looked like reproductions of my grandma's crappy paintings.
On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and there was a little refrigerator, microwave, and safe. It was conveniently located and there was plenty of parking.
