Cold room
The thermostat was a joke.. I set it to 83 degrees.. the highest it would go.. and I will be surprised if the room ever broke 70 degrees. So, cold the whole time in the room.

Too cool for school
Trendy platform beds may look cool , but they are a significant trip hazard for unsuspecting travelers ….. how about a mattress on a bed ? Might work. Need a 10 minute orientation to figure light switches particularly liked push up switch to make window shade come down. Annoying

The room needs a refresh the door to the bathroom didn’t close, the blinds were dirty and the lights didn’t work properly. I wasn’t really in my room as I was working so didn’t bother to complain. The area was quiet and I liked the vibe of the hotel. Staff were pleasant.

6/10 Good

The staff are lovely. I stayed in a Deluxe Queen room - spacewise it was fine especially for NY but other than the bed and bedding which were honestly great the room needs a “refresh”. New coat of paint, repair holes in the wall. A mini fridge would be nice. Security latch on the door was gone and there’s no safe in the room. Tbh I also found the black hallways off putting but that’s probably just a personal taste thing. Overall I think that with a little TLC this property could definitely score higher but the friendly staff get a big thumbs up.

Hotel name changed, staff seemed unfamiliar with local attractions such as City Winery at Pier 57. I made reservations with continental breakfast and was rudely informed that it was not included with my room. Meanwhile my room was a mini room with a price tag $464 per night. Lacked professionalism

Good location
Stayed in a loft on the 9th floor. It had great ambiance at night, polished cement floor, view of the Empire State Building. The best thing about the hotel is its location with easy access to the High Line, very enjoyable for a morning or evening stroll. It’s kind of an odd place - sometimes you walk in and the hotel lobby is a full on night club and other times it’s empty and quiet. Kinks are still being worked out. I tried purchasing some wine spritzes for the room and the bartender wasn’t sure what to charge for them. The hotel shows up as Selena on the map but now has a different name. Other minor things: The rain shower doesn’t extend very far into/above the tub. The TV is a little difficult to navigate. But as a whole I’m glad I stayed. Didn’t feel like a sterile hotel and more like staying in an apartment.

They didn’t have a room for me. And they still charged me. The staff is completely unprofessional and the managers are flakely snd not serious.

4/10 Fair

The room we booked reeked of weed and the air conditioning was broken. We were downgraded to a smaller room and that wasn’t any better. There are stains on the linens and booger on the wall. True story. The TV didn’t stay on because the cable going into it was frayed beyond repair. There was only one elevator working so getting up and down to the upper floors took a long time
