Highlight of our trip

We loved this place! Our favorite across Japan. It was cute and funky. Service was great. Location was perfect for visiting Naoshima. Convenient coin laundry with dryers that actually worked! Best nights sleep of the whole trip. We stayed in a Japanese style room with futons. Highly recommended

Great staff at the Inn. Their breakfast option is well priced, and they are very knowledgeable about Teshima and Noashima islands. We were able to get suggestions for places to eat nearby. Private bathrooms and comfortable beds. I am 6'2 and managed to bang my head a few times on the low doorways, but aside from that they place is great!

This is an economical place to stay when visiting the art islands. It is right across the street from the ferry boats, and the owner was super helpful explaining the logistics of visiting the islands and what we should expect see. Because it is a small port town, there are few eating establishments but enough to find something for a couple of nights.

This is a quirky little property that may look unusual at first glance, but the owners have made every effort to make this a very comfortable place to stay! Fantastic coffee and bagels!

Excellent location and freindly staff, but room was like a dark dungeon with no fridge or TV, and hassle having to go up the hall way for the bathroom and shower. If you stay here request an upstairs room. which is lighter and there is a nice balcony

As advertised. Steps from the train station and from the ferries to teshmina and Naoshima. Great little cafe and rooms are just what you need basic and clean. Max is friendly and super cool as is Kae and the the others there. A few restaurants around the block, 7/11 next door. Ideally a bathroom in the bedroom is best but it is your own private bathroom down the hall with your key if you take that option. Loved the whole vibe. It’s not the Four Seasons but it’s not a youth hostel either. And met some great people in the cafe. Definitely prefer over more expensive options on Naoshima.

This is a sleeper hotel - looks a little basic and probably is - however totally makes up for it with the amazing staff who all speak fabulous English and can’t do enough to help you out! Perfect location for the ferry port - what more can I say?? Perfect!

Staff were outstanding. Rooms small but clean and sufficient, comfortable beds. Our room was closest to the communal dining area, and unfortunately there were some inconsiderate, very loud guests. We did not eat at Uno Port Inn but saw some other peoples' dishes which looked very good, fresh, and generous portions - we wished we had eaten there! Would definitely stay there again.
