Plaza La Reina

I like this hotel's room.

The hotel was well placed in Westwood right by the UCLA campus. The lobby is very small and barely a lobby really. The hotel is small and very cute. Our room was huge, I’m guessing 1200 sq feet. Washer and dryer came in handy. There was a kitchenette and dishwasher also. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable so we bought a $15 egg crate at Target to put on it. Staff was friendly and helpful until checkout. The hotel charged me the full price of the stay even though I prepaid through Hotels.com. They said they never received the payment from Hotels.com. When I contacted Hotels.com, they attempted to pay for the room and refund the second charge to my CC. When they were unable to do that, they refunded my prior payment and restored my rewards night. Problem is, I paid a higher rate than I originally booked the room for. When I mentioned this to Hotels.com customer service, he said he spoke to a “specialist” and the “promise it will never happen again”😒. La Reina said this happens “all the time” with Hotels/Expedia. I’d advise you to check with the hotel after you book just to be sure. It cost me money and they both tried to blame each other. Disappointed Hotel.com didn’t try to make this right. I’m used to better from them.

This was a beautiful hotel with a very spacious hotel room in a safe, interesting area, close to UCLA campus.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with lots of Spanish charm. Room had a kitchenette and washer/dryer. There are a lot of restaurants within easy walking distance from hotel. Would love to return on a future visit to Westwood.

Quiet, great location, one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Everything was "first cabin."
