Hotel Palazzo Grillo

This Accommodation is in the old town in Genoa, a word of warning don't if driving attempt to follow what the navigation say's because albeit correct in where it is taking you , you are NOT permitted to take the car into the old town & the streets are narrow there are stiff penalties as there are cameras to capture you entering as we found out later. The hotel didn't provide this information to us until we rang them after not being able to find the parking, other than that the stay was good .

Very nice hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful in highlighting a few suggestions to see in our very short stay in Genoa. It would be nice to have left the air on as the only way to turn it on was to leave the key card in the AC slot. I understand the energy consumption/savings but it did take over an hour to get the room comfortable, would not hesitate to stay here again!

Palazzo Grillo is one of the most special placed I've ever stayed. A remarkable 16th c. palace set in a picturesque piazza, it is also a stylish contemporary hotel. I really loved it.

The hotel lobby is amazing with original architecture and design. The staff at front desk, Alfonso in particular, was extremely welcoming, knowledgable and friendly, answering all our questions and requirements. The breakfast area and terrace were clean. Breakfast bar had a great variety of food. The breakfast waiter attentive and friendly. Wondering way to start the day. The room was basic in design, although contained all required facilities, and is as shown in the hotels.com booking site. Our only negative feedback was the bed and pillow. We found the bed to be very hard and pillow lumpy. Location of hotel was great. Close to port and tourist attractions.
