Hotel Country

Easy to find, quick check in, small quiet clean room, great breakfast. Lots of restaurants.

Hotel is small and has cigarette smell. Toilet was generally clean but can be improved. Cleaner can only enter if you leave your room card at frontdesk for cleaning. Sometimes complimentary water is omitted, but you may call the frontdesk to request for it. Vincinity is very convenient. Good food places nearby. 7-11 just across the road.

the stay was not bad. however the cleaning of the room was not done due to lack of information that require to hand over the key to the front reception upon going out for outing. Also the lack of safe deposit box in the room which can be a hassle for the guest to bring out their valuables.

Convenient location. Walking distance to train station.

The hotel is located in the busiest area of Chiayi, which is otherwise a fairly sleepy city, so it's ideal for travellers who like to be in the thick of action. It's about 5min walk from the TRA station (free shuttle from the Chiayi HSR station, about 30min) and there are loads of F&B options right downstairs. Perhaps the only slight downer was the room size but I've noticed most 3* hotels im Taiwan tend to be of similar size (about 20sqm and below); it's a functional size but just don't expect to be able to leave your luggage lying around and still have space to walk. Overall, an excellent location and cheerful service more than makes up for that!
