Overbooked

Overbooked at least 50 people for Valentine’s Day. Check in was 3 pm and didn’t get in to the room until 8. And I was one of the lucky ones. There were about 80 people in the lobby that the place looked like an airport. Then the bright manager decides to pass around champagne for the inconvenience and now everyone has their mask off. Smart move, boss. Also the hallway smelled like piss. Only positive was my money was refunded without issue. Don’t stay here.

BAD SERVICE/ NO COVID PRECAUTIONS

My fiancée planned an evening for us two in New York City for valentines , we are new parents and we were looking forward for the little getaway! We get to the hotel we had to wait around 30 minutes just to get on the elevator !! Once we finally made it upstairs to check in the line was so long it went Around the floor , we were in line for 2 HOURRS!! Everyone next to each other NO COVID precautions, so when we finally get to the agent she very unapologetic tells us we have to be placed on a waiting list , after waiting all That time with no type of warning of what was coming on a night that was RESERVED and PAID, anyways need to do better horrible experience never going back

Unfortunate Circumstances

It took 5 hours for us to receive our room after checking in and we almost canceled our stay. The manager provided us a room last minute so we accepted and was offered a refund as well. It took lots of waiting but the manager was very kind.

Relaxing stay

Love this hotel but this is the first time staying and they did not have valet parking which was an inconvenience but it was across the street so wasn’t too bad. Perfect location downtown Jersey City and right near the train stations! Stay includes complimentary breakfast. Would Definitely recommend

Disappointing, Not clean

We stayed at the Hyatt House previously and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I can't say we had the same experience during Valentines Weekend. We booked for the 1 Bedroom Suite, excited for the Kitchen and upon arrival were told that it wasn't available. Other guests extended their stay so no suites are available. Best they could do was a Double Queen room, no kitchen. The hotel would have known by 3pm that guests were extending their stay & could have reached out letting me know that the room was no longer available. They were then able to find another room with a kitchen & King Bed. That’s fine, but this is when things went from disappointing, to worse. Once at my room, my room key didn't work and I had to go back to the lobby to get new keys. Once I had new keys, I walk in to find half eaten bags of chips, crumbs on the counter, and someones personal items in the room. I felt immediate discomfort as if I was in someones room & because this showed that the room was not fully cleaned which is disgusting especially during Covid. After calling the front desk, they had a team member meet us to bring us to a new room (Queen). Upon entering the room, we find food and drinks piled high in the trash can, again a room that was not fully cleaned. At this point I was looking to spend the night elsewhere but there was no availability as it was late on Valentines Day Eve. They then sent us to another double queen room where the guy sarcastically asked us “Is this good enough?" Wont be back.

Worth Your Time!

Upon check-in, I was informed that my room had been upgraded to a suite at no extra charge, and I was speechless. The room itself was WONDERFUL, and I LOVED that the coffee maker allowed for the use of actual ground coffee (I brought filters with me). The front desk attendant in the morning could’ve been SLIGHTLY more friendly since I was only asking where the grab-and-go breakfast and fitness center were, but he wasn’t all bad.

Had a peaceful stay. I didn’t want to leave ! Definitely will be back when the weather is nicer and I can do more

Good location/bad service

Hotel is in a good location but i stayed for 3 night. The last two nights my room was never clean. The breakfast was a joke. I need to meet my son and the uber driver could not find me so i ask the guys at the lobby to call a cab and i was told no try Lyft. I had dinner at the rooftop and they messed up our order. I would not stay at that hotel again.
