APA Hotel Sugamo Ekimae

This hotel is just a few minutes from the tube station therefore very convenient for travel. Good choice of places to eat around the hotel. There was a good choices provided for breakfast, however, the food (hot) was only just above room temperature. We had a double room which was exceedingly compact. There was no wardrobe but hanging space for clothes on the wall. No drawers or shelving units available. The en-suite was very compact however, the shower was powerful and there was a good choice of hotel comfort amenities available. Towels were changed every day. The bed could be considered as a small double, was comfortable, one pillow each, which was quite flat. If you are only using your accommodation for sleeping, this is the perfect place for you to stay. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, it’s probably worth reconsidering as there is not enough space to move around comfortably. The hotel is clean and tidy with helpful staff. The television in the room is large with BBC news channel provided which, frustratingly, is dubbed in Japanese and on occasion English subtitles are provided. Good choices of places to eat nearby, good coffee shops and MacDonalds across the road (24 hours).

Really a well spent vacation with the facilities and mostly the location. Cheers to the hotel staff too.

Hotel was convenient and close to the train station. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and property updated and clean. Indoor Onsen was a treat.

This is my second time booking a hotel with the APA brand name. All I can say is that I am very happy with this hotel chain. I booked this hotel because it was close to the subway line, so you can travel anywhere using the JR Yamanote line. The room was clean and housekeeping did an amazing job every day. This is my 4th time going to Tokyo and second time booking with APA hotel. There is convience stores and restaurants close by this location, and this a supermarket grocery store. This is my first time going into a Japanese grocery store and let me tell you, the prices you save on for beer and food makes this hotel a very great location. Also just like the last APA hotel I stayed at, I flew standby back to Canada one day early and told the hotel front staff to hold onto my key cards just in case I didn't make it onto the flight, that way if I didn't get on the flight I still had my one extra day to sleep at the hotel. Overall I really enjoyed myself with this vacation and I'm already planning my next trip to Tokyo.

Nice clean room. Fantastic breakfast and a great Onsen on the top floor.
