do-c Gotanda - Caters to Men

You have what you pay for. Well located, close to Gotanda station, it is quite minimalistic. I am not fond of the raw concrete style and the cabin was a bit too hot. It is cheap and you cannot expect more from this price

Good for staying for a night. Not recommend for long stay. Staffs were very friendly and polite. They spoke simple English and were eager to help.

Staff was friendly and helpful. You get fresh towels, pajamas, and toothbrush everyday. You have to vacate from 10am to 1:30 pm for them to clean everything from top to bottom. You get fresh pillow, sheets, etc. for your cozy little pod. Take a sleeping pill if you’re clostrophobic. You’ll get used to it in a couple days. Definitely not fancy but clean and functional. The area is girl clubs and pimps and hoes. But it is completely safe! Because it’s legal in Japan it doesn’t bring with it all the crime, lowlifes, and junkies. I will definitely stay here again next time in Tokyo and will recommend it to all my friends. Fantastic value. Most of the guests are Chinese businessmen. Everyone is real quiet and respectful and for the most part doesn’t make eye contact. The 7th floor lounge is pretty much just a quiet place to geek out on your phone or laptop and have something to eat from a take out place or 7-11. Cool little outside deck where it says no smoking but I did anyway and no one said anything.

Was a little hot to sleep. But other than that it was great!

Overall, it was a nice stay for 2 nights at do-c gotanda considering the price in Tokyo. 3 min walk from Gotanda JR Station, having a wide shower & sauna facilities plus complimentary amenities. However, sound-proof appliances should be installed for the guests to be able to enjoy their nights. Plus, I was struggling with finding out the accommodation when check-in, as it doesn't have a big banner showing the entrance. Inside the capsule room, I felt a bit stuffy, when closing the curtain, due to lack of ventilator & aircon in each capsule room.
