Hotel Hokke Club Asakusa

This was a great find and was easily accessible from Haneda airport. It was within 10 minute walk of three separate metro stations and walking distance to some of Tokyo's main attractions (asaha beer hall, sky tree, senso ji). The room itself was perfectly fine, there were lots of amenities and was typical of hotels across Japan. The staff were very accommodating and let me leave my luggage there for the day as I had landed at 7am. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again if I came back to Tokyo.

I went to Tokyo for vacation because it’s always been a dream of mine.

We really liked our stay. The room is quite small, but otherwise it was perfect. The breakfast buffet is superb in terms of Japanese food, and has good western choices as well. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and handle English very well. I would choose them again. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the Asakusa station Ginza line. The neighborhood is lively yet also quiet. The part of town near the Sensoji Temple had nice stores and little closet sized noodle shops and. plenty of other eateries.

The room was small but this was to be expected for the price and the area. On the plus side it was extremely clean and the bathroom had a small but deep bath. A small negative is that although they provide a kettle, they don’t provide coffee. The hotel has coin laundry service a microwave and ice machine available on the 2nd floor which was extremely useful. The area was good, right by the metro station and a short walk away from the areas main sight, eateries and shops. The main downside to the hotel for me was that they don’t open up the restaurant area after breakfast, we were a group of 3 in two rooms, it would have been great to meet there for a coffee to plan our day or just relax. They have the space it seems a shame not to use it. The breakfast they serve is buffet, it’s all or nothing so you can’t chose to just get some cereal and it’s pretty pricey at over 1600 yen per person.
