Room is clean and comfortable. The restaurant smell is quite strong in the hall way but won't reach the room. Very good location
Concierge “Elvis” was the best of this hotel. Food was good too but the room was on the 4th floor with electrical wires running to the electrical panel on the 3rd floor. Parking is horrible. We had a big car and trying to fit through the very, very narrow pass way was nearly impossible. All the whistles and bells were going off driving through there. We had the concierge fpdrive the car through the first time, then we paid for parking at a pay lot. The hotel is also very difficult to find. Good points...in the middle of town, lots of restaurants and shopping around.
We were checked in by a man who was Careless and seemed annoyed. We order a room with a double bed and was given a room with two single beds. The room was clean but the outside environment had drunk people dining throughout the night.
Great location and showed me how to get to the right parking garage. The breakfast was very good and so was the room.
I love virtually every thing about Füssen and the Ludwig Hotel (LH) puts me in the heart of Füssen. The food was good and the steak was good but my room was very small and up 3 floors—so strength is needed. Overall 👍
We were only in this hotel over night, passing through. Were given a room quickly, but staying with a family was a tight space. It worked for our short stay.
The hotel location is perfect, set in the middle of a cobblestone street lined with cafes and shops. It’s was only a short walk from the train station and a great location for a stroll around town and take in the picturesque views.
We had a great stay at Hotel Ludwigs and really enjoyed being so centrally located within Fuessen. Easy to walk around the city from here! Finding the parking was a little confusing but there was pretty good signage.
Bed bugs! We stayed here for 1 night and the next day we both found over 100 bites each all over our bodies. I contacted hotels.com and they called the hotel for me. The hotel said to call back the next day when the manager was in. This went on for 4 days in a row. I emailed the hotel twice and they finally agreed to refund me. I would have paid 10x as much to not have bed bugs. If you decide to stay here (don’t) be sure to thoroughly check your room before getting in bed. The hotel is in a good location in Fussen, the staff are not friendly. It is impossible to find anyone to check in/out with. There is no elevator. The rooms on the Main Street are noisy at night. The rooms are tiny oh, and THEY HAVE BED BUGS. After they finish dining on you, make sure you check all of your luggage and clothing to make sure you don’t bring any home. In a room this small, it’s impossible to not keep your suitcase right next to the bed and give the bugs a free ride home.
DON’T BOOK HERE! Fair warning. Worst service ever. Let’s start with our desk girl eating as we arrive and nods her head to our questions as we eat. Then as we ask questions, we get several eye rolls. We notice lots of stairs and ask about an elevator, we are quickly responded to with “it’s clear on booking.com there is no lift”, well, we booked on Orbitz and it’s NOT here on Orbitz. It’s made clear in several guide books that a bus pass is given as part of your city tax payment, we had to tell her that in order to get the passes. She didn’t want to give them to us. Room was not ready at 1pm, fine. We’ll store our luggage. She points up the stairs. We follow. Dragging our bags up the stairs. She points to the kitchen, which is down more stairs. She sees we’re annoyed by the location and in a huff, grabs our bags and says “come on guys, it’s not that heavy”- well, it is - 2 weeks in Europe, and clothes for 2 people, it had some weight to it. We leave for lunch, come back and get a room on a lower floor since there was no elevator. Get to the room and see it’s not what we booked. Ok. Left again and asked for a fan at least since there was NO AC. Come back and ask her if the fan has been delivered. She walks passed. Go to the room. No fan. Open the window and we hear her talking to the kitchen staff about us. Heard her talking about us to staff. Management and Orbitz will not refund. We left and found another hotel. Place sucks. False advertising. Beware!
