Hotel was closed when I arrived.
The hotel was all closed and locked up when I arrived. The hotel phone number was dead. Urgent email for them to contact me remains unanswered. Shameful. Best avoid.

Unfortunately the hotel is CLOSED! We got there on the afternoon and no one was there. Absolutely disappointed! I want full refund for that booking. How is that possible that the advert is still on the website??

I am writing with regard to my stay at your property from 11/10/22 to 12/10/22. It was very disappointing to see the state of the entire property and the room we stayed myself and my pregnant wife. The room was icy and freezing with an awful smell. All night they were making severe noise both up and downstairs as we did not sleep and we were scared and afraid of the entire situation. The bed sheets were dirty and there was lots of rubbish in all the bins in the room. This morning we went down for breakfast and did not see anyone the doors were closed and we could not exit the property. After about an hour we saw a lady who said she was going to drop her daughter at school and she open the back door for us to exit. The entire place was a scam as it was not a hotel but B&B. The whole experience was horrible as that was our first time in Durham. However, I would like to request a refund as the service we received was rubbish and unacceptable.

Shabby
The whole place needs updating. Rubbish piled up outside. The bottom of the stairs was like a dumping ground. The room was basic, dated, bed frame was torn & cracked. The shower was useless You pay for what you get. It’s a £50 room

Cheap and cheerful.
It was cheap and cheerful with helpful staff and a good breakfast, it’s not the Ritz it’s a low budget stay over.
