Ramada by Wyndham Chennai Egmore

There was this young fellow who was at the travel desk on the 23-Mar evening who helped to arrange a car and helped me to pick up a cake - this chap was exceptional 10/10. The rest of the stay required patience as the first room I received had a strange smell that emanates from the local river and the hotel manager immediately made the room change. The second room has mosquitoes and once again the hotel manager was at hand to help repellent. Both days of my trip were missing face towels so had to use the hand towel for a shave. The outside dining / drinks area called the walk is well presented but sadly the local river smell was overwhelming and the constant presence of mosquitoes was irritating. Should you use the hotel cars then expect to pay international rates otherwise use Uber that are readily available. The dinner buffet is well presented and tastes good 5/5. Should it have not been for the mosquitoes and the smell from the river I would have given this a 4/5 but sadly will give it a 3/5.

Cleaner washed cups and glass in toilet and immediately placed it. I had to call the manager to educate. Noisy AC, had to get it repaired. No responsibility attitude or pride in the work being done by the staff. Saying sorry is not a desired response. Taking ownership and fixing is, which lacks. Hardly any change in breakfast menu. Elevator under maintenance till Aug so lot of waiting time plus one working elevator appears unsafe. 4 star. Nah
