OK Studios

Remote check in was odd and a bit slow. Room was good sized with unusual decor and very dated. The bathroom was relatively clean but the coffee pot still had old coffee grounds in it. It’s an older place but in a great location.

Short stopover with kids in Reykjavik at the OK Hotel. Excellent location, funky decor and all amenities required to self cater. Perfect!

The room itself was beautiful and the location was amazing. However the check in was really bad. There isn't a reception desk, but instead a telephone and safety deposit box with the keys inside. Except our weren't inside... so we waited for someone to physically come to the hotel to let us in, only to find that the room hadn't been cleaned. So we had to dump our bags, head out for dinner without changing or freshening up from the plane (and were by this point running late). When we came back hours later, we got our keys but the lift was broken and the door to the stairwell wasn't opening, so it was another palaver trying to get in! We never really got an apology, and an email I sent asking about wifi access and coffee wasn't really responded to, so if you want great customer service this might not be the right place and maybe don;t expect a smooth check in. However the room was large, comfy, well kitted out, the price was good and the location excellent.

Excellent studios in a great location on the main street, but the quiet end, and close to bus stop 10. No reception, entrance via 'Staff' restaurant, check-in on phone helpful and friendly. It's easy to walk past this place, we did even though I thought I knew what to look for! Kitchenette stocked with tea and coffee and pots and pans which was great. Bathroom stocked with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, towels which was really helpful. Studio was lovely and warm and quiet and charming. They are happy to store bags in the basement if you have a wait for your bus after checkout.

Location was great in being in the main street of Reykjavik. Was it a bit weird with how check-in went for our stay there but the room was quite large nicely decorated. Also would have been nice if they could have stored our luggage somewhere for the time being as we were a little bit early for check-in and the next day we had a couple more hours till our flight since the check-out time.
