Mercure Hotel Sapporo

The hotel was in a great location! Everything we wanted to do in Sapporo was in walking distance. The staff were helpful and friendly. When we arrived to our room, there was a bit of a smell in the bathroom Housekeeping had already left for the day, but the hotel staff came up personally to help us. Within 5 minutes the bathroom was clean and smelling fresh! When we checked out of the hotel, we accidentally left a postcard in the room. They replied back to my email almost immediately and kindly offered to post it in the mail for us (despite the hotel not proving such services normally)! We stayed for 4 days and did a single day trip to an onsen. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced. Will be back!

Love the location cos is so convenient, we just need to walk to all those places nearby for food or shopping. However, the Housekeeping is ok only and they don’t provide bottled water.

Good, near underpass shopping and lots cafe and restaurant...

Good service with a good location. We are spoiled with the plenty of eateries even late at night in the surrounding area.

Stayed here for 3 nights in Oct. Loved it. Clean, super efficient, great beddings. Little advisory cards here and there in the room eg on temperature settings in end autumn, drinkable tap water, etc which essentially shows this hotel took guests' feedback seriously and improved. We didn't add their popular breakfast to our booking as we wanted to avoid the tour groups. There are plenty of choices in the neighbourhood. Location is superb! Of course, it is a few streets away from red light area but u can easily avoid venturing there. Lots of good inexpensive ramen, yakitori and other jap eateries. Easy access to Odori Park, lots of malls, 3 stations from JR Station & its malls. There is a coin laundry shop (Aqua Coin Laundry) less than 10mins walking distance from the hotel. Overall, kudos to the team! Enjoyed our stay & thank you for looking after us and your hospitality!
