Holiday Inn Express & Suites Historic

We enjoyed our one night stay at this Holiday Inn. The employees were friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was very good. It was the usual hot breakfast, but due to Covid, an employee bagged up our breakfast and we ate in our room.

Arrived around 8:30 pm after driving about 10 hours. The clerk took a phone call that lasted about 25 minutes. There was a line of guests waiting for help and she was by herself. That is the only complaint about the hotel. Everything else was great. Everything clean and our dig was happy too.

Got a room on the street side and it was every loud vehicle in ABQ racing up and down all night long. Then around 2am the people in the room above started stomping around and did so until about 5am. Keys stopped working to get in the outside doors overnight. Would not advise staying here and I won’t ever stay here again. Find somewhere not 10 feet from a drag strip.

The location, beds and breakfast and best things. The bathrooms are dark and the mirror is not accessible. Last stay the bathroom sink was loose and difficult to use. This stay the shower fixture was messed up. Hotels should check high use areas for disrepair.

Amazing Accommodations. The pool was lovely!

This was, by far, the best hotel experience that I have had in Albuquerque over the past few months. Traveling alone, it was extremely comforting to have the Security steadily patrolling the parking lot (which was well-lit and easily accessible) up to the front entrance after dark. I also appreciated the staggered check-in (6-8 feet separation between clients) in the immaculately clean lobby. The laundry facilities were clean and the Housekeeping service came like clockwork, daily. Mabel always ensured that the beds were made and sheets changed; she replenished our towels daily and cleaned all surfaces. This Historic Holiday Inn Express is the best of all those in the city and the staff is competent, attentive , helpful and amazing. Josh repeatedly went above and beyond to attend to every nerd and accommodated all requests expediently. I had an amazing experience here and will always return to stay at this property. Thank you so much!

The room was so nice and clean that we stopped back for one more night on our way home. Parking was ample and well lit. We recommend it for a clean, no frills room.

I stayed in room 163. There was a heavily used broken exterior door that would slam so loud that we could not sleep through the night. At times the door would slam every 30 seconds for several minutes at a time when other guests were using it to move in or out. The staff was unwilling to repair the door because they did not have a maintenance person available. They also refused to put up a sign asking guest to please close the door gently. The only compensation that they would provide was to refund the $25 pet fee. Had to drive 12 hrs the following day on little to no sleep.
