New hotel, open 5 wks we were told. Clean but you can tell they are still working on parts of it. Still, very clean and quite a beautiful hotel and a reasonable rate for that weekend. Very happy w our stay

Liberty is Lovely

Beautiful new hotel in downtown Roanoke. Old bank with original granite and marble floors. Will definitely stop in again.

Newly opened and renovated property. Rooms were roomy and clean. Location is close to downtown. Now for the bad news: We arrived late (after midnight) after a late and exhausting flight. Front desk check in was pleasant enough. Keys were issued and we asked for a late check out which was honored. Before daylight we were awakened by extreme construction noise on our side of the building that started at 0600. Got absolutely no sleep after that. Let the front desk manager know of the noise. Although sympathetic, she really offered no explanation as to why we were placed on the noisy side of the building with known construction outside our window. She claimed they were “sold out,” although we saw no evidence of folks out and about. I offered that no rooms should be sold on that side of the building due to noise. It was clear that they were more interested in selling out the place rather than customer comfort. We checked out with another front desk representative who was less sympathetic to our plight offering that there were ear plugs in the closet. She asked if we had asked to have our room changed the night before. Recall, that we arrived after 0100 and were exhausted and told they were ‘sold out!’ There’s no way to have predicted that we would experience noise in just a few hours. Overall, very negative experience and would never stay at this property again!

This was a beautifully restored building with great attention given to original features such as marble floors and copper doors with transoms. Rooms were spacious, with huge windows that admitted a lot of natural light.

Beautiful historic building in the heart of the square. Very convenient walking to dinner and shops, as well as affiliated parking structure. Renovation of the building is top-notch and clever, making for a unique experience 👌

We liked the vibe of the converted, historic bank building and the room was basically brand new. The staff was quite friendly, helpful, and accomodating.
