On checkin the guy kept speaking German when I speak English. The room was very old and there was holes all over the table in the room

Terrible We were left on the street, at 4 am, outside of the hotel, in a cold, without access to our own rooms!! When I came in around 4 am on a Saturday night (sunday morning) there was another guest standing outside as well. He had been waiting for a while already. The main door was locked, no one at the reception desk. We rang and rang.. and rang some more. Knocked on the door the old fashion way. Nothing worked. After an eternity , we were finally rescued by another guess inside the hotel who opened the door for us. Really???? What kind of hospitality is this...Terrible experience!!!! The next day, I asked to speak to a manager to relay the problem. The front desk attendant told me that one was available to talk to me, adding insult to injury. I seriously hope that someone hire up the foodchain reads this message. It looks like the staff at this Mercury Hotel is in some well needed training!
