Holiday Inn Express Ft. Lauderdale Cruise-Airport

We started off by arriving late at night and being told that our room we had booked was not available even though it had been booked months before, we were told take this or go to another hotel, the room was old, went to get drinks from the machine in the ice room were the floors were dirty and the room had building equipment in it, the next day you had to get up because the building noise was that loud, the lift stop working, the fire stairs had a lot of paint stored on them a real fire risk, breakfast was severed in the a joining block that was nice it had been refurbished, we went out when we came back the bathroom floor was covered in water, the next day at breakfast you could have cereal but no milk, not even for tea or coffee, on coming back to our room that day we found our door was open, luckily nothing had been taken, that was the final straw, the regional manager came to our room to hear our complaints, the noise, the dirt in that section of the hotel (including the reception area was full of building dust and noise) the bed just covered over and not made, the lift still not working etc etc, he advised us that no one else was in that part of the hotel and we should have not been put there, we got moved to the refurbished block that was very nice, very annoying that we had to put up with 2 nights of our stay in that environment. If you are staying make sure you are in the new section, but maybe it is all now finished as we were there a month ago.

Absolutely down floor with awful carpet on the corridor and inside rooms. Wet, dirty and stinky all around. Inside room cockroach walking on the desk. The air in the room mixed with stinky, evaporating humidity. It's not to be cleaned. The carpet should be changed immediately. Service like everywhere nice. On the end, it's not their fault by working there and doing a good job

WORST EVERY STAY. STAFF IS VERY RUDE AND CRAPPY LOCATION. WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN.

great staff and clean rooms...they were updating the hotel while I was there, they made every effort for maximum safety, quietness and the staff was very accommodating while I was there.
