Palmer House a Hilton Hotel

Great location, lots of space, good service

We had a great stay and enjoy the property. The only problem was the service in the lounge with the Lockwood restaurant. Terrible slow inattentive service. Potters was much better. Ernest in the executive lounge is AMAZING!! Great guy and left a wonderful impression two years in a row!!

I'm have Hilton Gold status and have stayed all over the world at different Hilton hotels/resorts. This by far was our worst experience. An upcharge of $50/night for two queen beds instead of a king. Extra breakfast charges if we wanted a hot breakfast, the wait staff was rude, seating us as well as providing water and coffee. I was a bit perplexed as we were kind and quiet and only asked for the essentials....silverware. The swimming pool wasn't open but that was not advertised until we got to our room. We booked partly for a pool experience for the kids. So this was a huge let down as the weather was cold and I wanted the kids to have a pool for entertainment and exercise. The location was great and the charm of the hotel was nicely kept up. The food provided for breakfast was good and the hotel was nicely decorated for the holidays.

We had an outstanding stay while visiting family during the Thanksgiving holiday week. The location is excellent for shopping, dining, and museum viewing. The room was spacious and comfortable.

amazing historical property.... that's exactly what we expected. Beautiful property.. rooms need minor upgrades (base boards painted, one of our rooms missing glasses and ice bucket..minor) Lobby bar expensive, but worth the view.. overall, so worth it for the experience of old Chicago!! Bonus to our Navy Bootcamp Graduation experience!
