Midpointe Hotel by Rosen Hotels & Resorts

This place was a very nice place, nice staff who were very helpful to making sure I got Into a room at the exact time limit, I never got that anywhere else. The room was very nice the beds were very comfortable, I don’t worry about the bathroom as long as everything works and everything worked in the bathroom. I would totally stay there again over any other hotel I ever stayed at and it was so close to where I work and the other place I be working at which is right next to the hotel.

As we waitwd to check in I witnessed a woman be extremely rude to guests checking in. Both verbally and with exagerated eye rolls towards us and her co worker. All completely unnecessary and shockingly rude. I was helped by another employee thank goodness. They were polite. Our room was on the first floor and the second we opened the door the stench was overwhelming. It was mo exagetatuon sickening with moldy wet funk. Went back to the front and let.them know. They handed me anothet room key and had security come along to retrive the old key. There was no response appology or acknowledgement of an issue. The next room much better but still far from a room in good shape. Stayed here 2 years ago amd it was well run and the room while older were tidy and cared for. I will never stay here again. This has always been a popar convention motel. I am often asked where to stay by friends. Will make sure everyone steers clear of this disaster.

I read a lot of reviews prior to booking. A lot of them were negative. I stayed for 6 nights. This is a budget hotel - so if you keep that in mind, it is fine. I wanted a cheaper place within walking distance of the convention center. I was by myself, so i did not care about amenities. It met my expectations. It is within walking distance, there are places around to eat. My room was clean and the AC worked fine. Bed was OK. Only one thing was poor - the ceiling in the bathroom looked like it had some water leakage and needed repair. Not too nice to look at, but did not affect me directly. I was in the building to the right. Every morning at 6 am the trucks next door would make some noise. Not a big deal as I had to get up early anyway. If you wanted to sleep in, that could be annoying. There is an outside pool, but i did not have a chance to use it. The mini fridge in the room worked fine and kept items chilled. If i was back for in town again for an event at the convention center, and it was just me, i would consider staying here again.

Reasonably priced but don't expect too much. If going to convention at the OCCC a great alternative if you just need a place to sleep.

when i booked this 2 months ago, reviews were ok. in the last month, noise, shady characters, pot. moldy. didnt have any of that. 2nd floor in a old red roof inn. clean, safe, food and drugstore behind. seemed to have many convention people there. maybe unhappy as they werent in a hilton. desk guy was nice. did take 10 dollars in incidentals. i dont know why either. no movies. but a really nice stay there is an ihop, 711 and mickey ds and walgreens less than a 10 minute walk away
