Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Coventry

Nice Hotel well located within Coventry. Helpful staff, very clean rooms and functional bathrooms but the Elevators are old, slow and take forever.

Hotel looks a bit rough on the outside but the interior is much better. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice but the food could have been much hotter.

Hotel is too choked. Corridor too narrow for luggage trolley. Elevator is small, slow and obsolete, I was stuck in it when the door refused to open and missed my Uber cab who waited and had to leave, I was charged for no show and had to call another taxi. Meal at restaurant for dinner does not worth the price and tasteless, thank God there are restaurants across the road which I patronized for the other nights.

Overall good stay. Only negatives were average food quality in restaurant and problems with lifts. One was out of order and another failed to open doors (twice) when reached ground floor and then went up again.

The service of Ramada was very bad, it even worst than any 2.5 stars hotel that I stayed in the past. I told the reception that DPD courier will come to pick up a bag and the reception (a guy) instructed me how to fill-in their label. In the next morning, I came there and reception (another guy) seems knew nothing. I explained again! So annoying to keep repeat the same thing! In the afternoon, my colleague called and told me that DPD called him mentioned that they arrived and the reception said NOTHING TO PICK UP. I called Ramada immediately, a lady picked up my call, she was rude, and blame me I didn't wrote any number in the label, but the guy said just wrote collected by DPD!!!! I told the rude lady that: 1) I wrote a label which instructed by Ramada 2) I informed the courier - DPD my FULL NAME and my ROOM NUMBER Then, that rude lady said they have a lot of customer when my courier - DPD arrived, the courier was not willing to wait. I tried to complain to Ramada Deputy Manager - Mr Zsolt, he replied me an email and prevent that they don't have any mistake, and their rude lady is misunderstood because when I called her, I said I kept a suitcase in their reception!!! Obviously, they are not professional. First, I never use the word of "suitcase" as I passed my bag to reception. Second, they just tried to pass all the responsibility to the courier. In conclusion, I won't stay this hotel ANYMORE
