The Villare Hotel

Pretty good hotel, stayed once before. Clean, spacious, modern, comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant. Bar area and Bar balcony really cool with good view. Quiet (window closed) Cannot fault.

I’m not saying this hotel is bad it just needs to rectify a few things. Start by getting triple glazing to cut out the noise of the pubs outside. Still awake at 2am. Also the curtains didn’t fit the window bay so the building up lighters on the walls outside shone into the room making like daylight during the night. For a hotel that’s trying to brand itself as deluxe the finishing in the room needs sorting out. Missing beading to hide the gap between the skirting board and laminated flooring, and the cutting in was atrocious. Moving on to the bed, ok nice and comfy but no mattress protector on it which for me is a huge no no. Moving on to the roof terrace/bar. The outside area, nice idea but needs attention. Decking is in need of a jet wash and treating and also the planters need sorting out as having dead plants and weeds growing out of them is not a good look. Also another handy tip for the so called Mixologist, Red wine is not kept in the fridge and if you use the measures then you might make a bottle of wine last a bit longer, yep asked for a large wine and got back half a bottle in a very large wine glass. We cut the trip short and came home early

The location is great, the room was very nice and it was clean with everything you need. The only downside was the chap on reception, he wasn’t friendly or happy in check in. We had paid for 2 breakfasts and he was saying we had only paid for one. It was sorted out when we showed our email. Breakfast gets delivered to your room and was very nice.
