Capitol Hill Hotel

Our stay was excellent. The staff was professional and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was my third stay at the Capitol Hill Hotel. Wonderful stay!

I arrived early so they were kind enough to give me the room that was available. I had requested a room with a nice view. I was tired so I was grateful but disappointed. The room I got had a patch on the carpet and a view of a wall. The breakfast room was in another building and was dark and the food was not very good. I decided to pass on the breakfast for my last two days. The staff were very kind and the location and neighborhood were great. Overall I would recommend this hotel just check in later.

I think this was my third stay at this property, and I always look forward to it. The location is unbeatable, of course, being a stone's throw from the Capitol. My room was delightful, with a Keurig coffee machine, microwave, small fridge, and some mugs, glasses, and flatware. One thing I'd like to see improve was a very slow check-in time. At almost 5pm, there was only one desk attendant, and the people checking in before me were leveling a complicated dispute about their reservation. I had to wait about ten minutes, and it seems odd that there was no staff on hand to call for backup. The breakfast also seemed scaled back. I have dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy), and the only thing I could have eaten were the sausage patties, which looked both greasy and watery (I declined). I didn't see much in the way of fruit, which would be my other option. I always bring backup food for when things like this happen, so I'm that much more grateful for the kitchenette in the room.
