Friendly Vallarta All Inclusive Family Resort & Convention Center

The staff at Friendly is amazing! They go above and beyond to make your stay extra special. Make sure you include everyone staying in that room so you’re not surprised by any extra charges when you check in. Wonderful resort. Good food. Very family friendly.

I was here for 2 1/2 days to relax and get healthy again. The beds and pillows were awesome! The room was nice and I really appreciated the refillable water bottle they provided and copious options to refill it! I also liked how the staff defaulted to Spanish, so I didn't feel like I was still in America and got to practice my Spanish. It's a smaller hotel, but the courtyard/beach area was extremely well designed, so I didn't feel like the hotel was small. The beach area was very inviting and the sand was nicer than if we were closer to El Centro. It's about a 45-1 hour walk there by beach and a straight shot via the bus. The food was passable at best. I am a foodie, but with All-inclusives, I expect the food to really suck and it was as I expected. Also, during the middle of the day, I couldn't get a beach chair. I suspect that's because I was there on what was likely to be their busiest days of the year. Instead, I made the best of it and got a towel and just laid on the beach. The wifi was almost non-existent. I could barely check email, so I won't go back if I think I'll have to work for an hour or so. Lastly, this is not a place for quiet. The music (from about 8-9am to 10p-11pm at night) is so loud that I couldn't hear the operator on the phone to complain about the sound. The music was good from soft music in the morning to dance at night. The rooms at the top of the main tower might be quieter. I was on the second floor overlooking the courtyard.
