Days Inn by Wyndham Charleston Historic District

The website told me there was free parking, but when I got there, it was $20.00/day. Check-I’m was supposed to be 4:00, but our rooms weren’t ready until 6:00. Check-out was supposed to be 11:00, but when we came back from breakfast at 10:15, our rooms were wide open and the cleaning staff had already started.

Location was great! Hotel is showing it’s age, our bathroom door didn’t close and room I’d rate a 3 out of 10. Staff were pleasant and helpful and paid parking on site was convenient.

Good location

Had to pay for parking. That information was not disclosed when booking room. $20/night. I suggest finding a ramp close bye for cheaper.

Roach hotel

Don’t be fooled by the pictures. The rooms are disgusting. Roaches, bedbugs and our room reeked of cigarette smoke, even tho I booked a non smoking room. The parking was full so we were told to go to the offsite parking. We were charged another $8 on top of the $20 we were charged to park. We stayed a few hours and left, everywhere was booked due to Spring Break, we had to drive the four hours back home. We hope to get a refund. The staff was nice, however they would not answer the phone, you had to physically go down to the lobby to speak with anyone.

Its all about the location!

It's an old motel and a little rough around the edges but big, comfortable room, could not hear neighbors and location is overwhelmingly fantasic!

In Downtown Charleston

The best part about this hotel is location. We were in walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shopping in downtown Charleston. The hotel is old but clean. Our only other issue was with the TV. We did not have the best reception.

Surprisingly disappointing

This was very disappointing. I booked this room on Hotels.com so I don't know if that has something to do with my experience. The room was dirty, the bathroom floor was covered with muddy footprints. The bathroom counter looked like it was damp. I would have left right then but it was late afternoon, and when I asked at the desk they said the hotel was fully booked. It's spring break, so I assume that's the case everywhere, going elsewhere was very expensive if you could find something So, since I was stuck, I took one of the room's towels and cleaned the muddy footprints off the floor myself. I also cleaned off the bathroom counter. Then, when I turned on the tv, it worked but the picture was a bit grainy on many channels I tried. I looked for a channel lineup, but there wasn't one in the room. Nothing, no hotel info. I had stayed here in this hotel a couple of years ago and it was an agreeable place back then. I don't think I will be coming here again, though.
