Best Western River North Hotel

You enter through a garage. Decor a bit grim. My suite was huge, with two TVs. Bed fine, but pillows very thick and hard. The hotel is very convenient to excellent restaurants and bakeries.

This was by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The entire building smelled bad. The floors were soft on parts. The lights in the bathroom worked half the time. We got stuck in the elevator twice with having to push the button 3 or 4 times to get it to work The heater also was on the fritz so it was either boiling hot or arctic in the room. In downtown you should have lived up to a better image. This is not some ghetto motel. Will never return

This is not a glitzy hotel, but one more appropriate for short business stays. While my room was large, clean, up-to-date, and very comfortable, parts of the hotel would require renovation. The gym was clean and modern, but was missing some basic equipment, like a pull up bar or yoga mats. The 'heated' pool would be nice in theory, but the water was too cold for me. The staff was outstanding. It was really convenient to have a joint restaurant on the first floor. All in all, this was a fine place to stay at for a business trip, although it might be possible to find other hotels in similar price at a more central location.

The premium king suite room turned out to be just a very large room with a king size bed. The odd layout makes it very difficult to fall asleep. Certainly not a suite as shown in the pictures (with at least some kind of divider or wall)
