Sheraton Manhattan at Times Square - New York 40.76181, -73.98274

Otelin konumu mükemmel, Times Square'e bir kaç adım ötede. Ancak dış görünüş olarak pek sevimli değil. İnşaat iskelesi altından geçerek otele giriyorsunuz ! Oda nispeten küçük. Yerdeki halıfleks herhalde yıllardır değiştirilmemiş ! Hakkını yemeyelim, yataklar çok temiz ve geniş. Lobi hemen hemen yok gibi ! Ücretsiz Internet için kuyruğa girmeniz gerek ! 3 kişi kaldığımız halde bir kişilik banyo takımı veriliyor; ekstra havlu için müşteri hizmetlerini aramanız gerekli; ancak o da parayla ! Oda telefonunu 2-3 kez kullandığımız halde neredeyse bir gecelik konaklama ücreti kadar para ödedik !

Got a great rate through hotels.com. Room was big, beds very comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. The walls are a bit thin. You can hear people in the next room at night. Great location. I will definitely stay again.

Great location.

This hotel needs a facelift. It was shabby and way overpriced for its condition. However, the bed and linens were clean and comfortable.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in part because we had concerns and lowered expectations after reading some of the reviews. After staying there we were favorably impressed and think there is a lot of whining in the reviews about non-issues. Yes-the rooms and hallway fixtures are a little dated (bathroom fixtures etc.) and the rooms are small (but not for NYC-almost rooms are smaller in NY). Beds are great. Room fixtures like a mid level hotel (Hampton, Fairfield etc.) However the hotel performs well and is a great place to stay with kids. The pool is a rare find and is of good size. The computers with internet connection for free in the lobby were big hit with the teen agers. Staff was very helpful and friendly despite being totally booked for the weekend we were there. Location cannot be beat. Slightly smaller than the monster Sheraton across the street. A solid hotel oerformance that far exceeded what we expected from all the review complaints.

We spent 3 nights at the Sheraton Manhattan, we got to our room there was not light bulb in the entrance was burnt out and one in the bathroom. Had to get someone to change it. Room was very old with striped wallpaper, peeling off, and pink tiles on the bathroom floor. The bathtub didn't drain properley. The location was good... what I would recommend if you do stay don't have high expections on the rooms. The bed was comfortable. Wish when we booked it we would have been informed of the original decor. Just a heads up if your looking for a central location in Manhattan. Had a great time.. New York is a fun place to go.. not cheap.

Rooms very small, but I guess that is to be expected with older hotel in this location.

This hotel needs alot of work and better service fro sure. It is a noisey hotel very thin walls. And the service was lacking to say the least.

What a great hotel location perfect the bar was expensive would not recommend having a drink there considering two glasses of wine were $24 and it was inexpensive wine bar staff not friendly. Overall hotel staff excellent all front desk staff everyone more than helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay...

The Air Conditioners for the rooms in this hotel are old and do not cool under 80 degrees. It was hot and humid and not particularly clean. The management does not care... No sense of service. Great neighborhood, terrible hotel

Hotel is in a great central location - close to Times Square, subway stops, Central Park, etc... We stayed on a non-smoking floor and someone in a room nearby was smoking. After our complaint, the hotel sent security to the floor to rectify the problem immediately.

Overall, I would rate this hotel as average. Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible.

my 12 year old daughter and i wanted 2 beds. we were given 1 queen size bed although the reservation was for 2 beds. this was inconvenient and no rate adjustmnet or other accomodation was made by the hotel.

The pictures of the Sheraton Manhattan Times Square are very misleading. The photos on their website makes the hotel appear to be well maintained, clean and spacious. The Sheraton Manhattan Hotel was just the opposite. The hallway on the floor (16th) where my room was located looked like it had not been vaccumed in weeks. The door appeared as if the hotel was too lazy to paint it after changing the lock so they painted arount the lock and it wasn't even the same color. The furniture in the room was old and chipping. The room was so small. It was so bad, that even though I prepaid for the room and could not get a refund, I checked out 10 minutes after arrival. I used the computer in the lobby to locate another hotel which I was very please with.

This hotel was not as nice as the other one across the street by the same name. It was too expensive and not as clean. There were long hairs left in the room from the cleaning staff. I had to wait a long time to get my bags from storage because the room wasn't ready. When I arrived, the clerk said my room was ready but it was small and if I waited an hour I would get a bigger, nicer room. Read: We don't have a room for you yet even though you made a reservation a week earlier and were there several hours after the check in time. The pool was only open until 8:00pm. The lobby was not air conditioned and hot.

The hotel is in a great location. The hotel is old and needs to be updated. The rooms are small. There is a swimming pool, but they must have people that are not guests use the pool to swim laps and they have priority over the pool. The kids can't jump in or have any really fun in the pool.

Was totally fine. It has a pool, it in the heart of it all and people are friendly. The room is typical for NYC in size. The beds were comfy and everything was clean - even the bathroom.

The staff was slow and lazy. The bathrooms need some attention. Our sink and shower had lose parts and drainer slowly.

Sheraton Manhattan was a great location, within easy walking distance of Times Square and subway stops. We enjoyed our stay there-one of few hotels in NYC with a pool.

" This Hotel is right in the Heart of the city and so easy to find your way around and choose the routes to take. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend to others and will stay again in this Hotel if I can afford to return to NY in the future.

Despite our purchase for 2 double beds for 3 adults, check in person insisted it was not "guaranteed" and insisted we have a rollaway bed. After an arguement I got the bed. Friends got the same and their rollaway bed never came till 12:30 pm w/o sheets - in fact they they never came aafter several calls. Parking @ check in conveinient but at noon checkout there was a mile long line to get the cars out from the car elevator. Also could not quickly check luggage instead because only one bell hop was asssigned the task despite the entire hotel checking out so we faced another long line. You would think there would be extra staff to accomodate the known peak check out time. Upon complaint to the manager, he really did not care at all. This was a big waste of time for a one night stay. Pool in Times Square was a real perk! However, there was no sense of hospitality from the management or check in people. No warm greetings, friendliness, etc. but the hotel is nice, in good condition except for the bathtub which had cracks and sealer in it making it unattractive - time for a real repair.

I didn't get the room that I requested. I was "upgraded" to a room that the TV didn't work. Ok...so make a call (or two) to have the problem fixed...the person never came. Then go to the front desk to complain. I was switched to a room (TV worked) but it had a musty smell. Whats unfortunate is that the stay was part of a weekend getaway in Manhattan. I will not be going back.

Getting shabby, and in need of renovation, but fine for my purposes (in town for business). I may have been less happy if I had paid my own money to stay there on a vacation: it was expensive, even by NY standards I think. It's very noisy until at least 2am if you're overlooking the street, so ask for a room up high and not directly looking over the street. Or bring earplugs :0)

This hotel had the worst service I have ever experienced with a hotel and is way below the expectations of a Sheraton. The rooms were small and worn, they would not answer the phones at the hotel (I actually had to use my cell phone to call the hotel on an outside line to get in touch with anyone), they did not respond to customer service requests (wrong room type, wouldn't exchange our pillows until the 3rd night and I was allergic to the feather pillows), basically they acted as if the guests weren't there or they were really understaffed. The location is very good as it is within walking distance to Times Square, Rockafeller Center and Radio City Music Hall amongst others. If they improved the rooms and service I would stay again but I would be scared to do so because it was that bad of an experience.

The hotel was clean and appropriately priced. Can'y beat the great location in the middle of Times Square. The garage parking is not good as the attendents are rude and do not speak english very well. The good service in the hotel is nearly negated by the way you are treated as you get your car and leave.

Dorm-like halls, cramped rooms, poor lighting, awful mattress

Great views Great staff everthing was top notch. Went to NYC for my daughters 11th Birthday. Everyone at the hotel made her feel like a princess. I will Definatly return to this hotel in the future.

I reserved a king size bed.i got a queen size bed,when i complained reception insisted it was a king size bed.Like i wouldn't know the difference

I asked for two double beds, because it was my two daughters and I staying for the night. Instead, we arrived and found out they could only give us a queen sized bed for the same price! Then, I complained, and they gave us a King bed and a cot that was so uncomfortable, we had to take the mattress off and sleep on the floor. Really poor.

Great place, great price, great staff. Very friendly New Yorkers even though we are Red Sox fans they treated us great.

My daughter & I stayed only one night, however we found the room & the hotel a very pleasant experience. I was a bit leery due to some of the negative reviews I read prior to booking this hotel, but I am very pleased to say all the negativity was totally unfounded as far as our experience. We also had dinner in the hotel dining room & found that an absolute pleasure, fairly good prices & the waitress we had was wonderful.
