30-45minute walk from the city centre but also the option to catch a local bus, which was good. 10euros in a taxi. It meant for a great view over florence and escaping the hustle and bustle of the city once you returned to the hotel, which was in a very peaceful setting. Free parking. Free wifi, but poor connection. Overall highly recommended.

The hotel looks nice and has lovely amenities BUT THE STAFF IS INVASIVE. It started with the assumption that we should leave our passports with the front desk - "everyone leaves them here; you can just pick-up later". Yeah right! As nice as Italy was, I'm not leaving my passport. Oh, and they expect you to leave the key at the front desk whenever not […] in the hotel. Want to know why? . . . Then, the over attention to our rooms started. We arrived in the afternoon, then went out to dinner; upon our return, we realized the staff had been back in the room - due to a "good night" mat on floor. Each day, the staff put everything back in it's place regardless of our stuff - i.e. the clothes we'd hung on the little closet door were wrinkled by them closing the closet doors; they litterly shut the closet doors with the clothes caught between. Plus, we'd left a picture on the desk; it was crumpled by them putting the desk chair back in it's place. These things really happened, so WARNING. Also, they decided that my water bottle #left with my stuff# was trash. It was continuous. If there hadn't been a safe in the room, we have no idea what else would've happened. Oh, and one other issue - the staff opened the room windows each day, which let in mosquitoes. Two of my travel companions gotten seriously bitten each night. Devamı

We were almost put off from staying here by reading the reviews but we are so pleased that we chose this one. We found the location suited us perfectly even though the walk back from the City was harder than going ( I am 68 ) . My daughter made good use of the pool and we enjoyed the peace of the Terrace together with the friendliness and helpfulness […] of the staff. The Continental breakfasts were more than adequate even for a 'Full English ' lover like me ( and the coffee is good ) . I intend to return. Devamı

An excellent hotel, just far enough away from the hustle, bustle and smells of Florence whilst close enough to walk there or catch the buses. The staff service was excellent and cannot be commended highly enough.

The owners are delightful, the hotel is old fashioned but well kept up, with beautiful grounds and swimming pool. Twenty-25 minute walk into town, or bus or taxi, but delightfully peaceful at night. Good breakfast. Nearby and in-town restaurants available for dinner. Only suggestion - the beds needed a foam topper - too hard for me...

Enjoyed hte stay very much - will go again.Location outside of Florence - bus i there but a hike for those with walking problems - use taxis instead. Pool an absolute delight after a hot day visiting in Florence. Also good as a base for day trips if you have a car - easy to get to the highways for a trip to Siena etc.

The Belvedere is completly different from staying in a hotel. A family affair. Great position, a nice walk to the local bus for your trip to the city. Approx 10min. Beautiful gardens and stunning veiw of the city and beyond. However, if you want to iron clothing, you must hand in the items to reception and pay 1-50 euro per item. The Villa Belvedere is like a step into the past where the front desk keeps your key while you are out, tuxedo-clad doorman abound and your bed is turned down at night. We loved it and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint would be that it's a bit of trek to the middle of Florence - 30 minutes by foot or you can take the bus with […] the bus-stop being about a 5-7 minute walk. This hotel is tucked away from all of the noise of Florence. The bus is very convenient but honestly, the walk into the center of town was easy...20-25 minutes downhill. Breakfast was good...would have liked to have had a larger menu option in the evening. The staff was very helpful and pleasant...would stay here again.

We stayed at Villa Belvedere for a night at the start of our tour of Italy. We found a very warm & friendly welcome and an extremely well presented, clean & comfortable abode, as well as the smell of baking in preparation for the next mornings breakfast. We had a 5min bus ride into the Town center from the bus stop 2-3 mins walk from the Hotel.

Das Hotel hat die perfekte Lage zur Erkundung von Florenz. Bis zur Innenstadt (z. B. Piazza Pitti) sind es ca. 20 Minuten Fußweg. Die Hotelbesitzer sind sehr freundlich und sprechen gut englisch. Die Ausstattung ist zwar nicht unbedingt High Class, aber sauber und funktionsfähig. Außer Schönheitsfehlern (z. B. rissiger Anstrich an der Badezimmerdecke) […] ist uns nichts Negatives aufgefallen. Der kleine aber saubere Pool ist ideal für eine kurze Erfrischung. Das indische Dienstpersonal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und spricht ebenfalls gut englisch. Man kann direkt vor der Hoteltür parken und es gibt kostenloses WLAN im Hotel. Devamı

Hotellet fremtoner skønt på en bakketop og med fantastisk udsigt til centrum! Renlighed og kundeservice er i høj klasse! Især kundebehandlingen er uset god og familiær! Dog er der store minusser til morgenmad og frokost! Priserne på frokost er IKKE okay!

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit klassischem Charme. Das Personal ist freundlich und spricht ausnahmslos gutes Englisch (Deutsch haben wir nicht probiert). Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und praktisch eingerichtet, vom schon ziemlich alten und kleinen Fernseher mal abgesehen. Die Grösse war eher mittelmässig, aber für Preis und Lage angemessen. Das Frühstück […] war hervorragend - leckere Brötchen und Croissants, leckerer (!) Schinken und Käse, hausgemachter Kuchen usw. Die Hotelbar ist jeden Abend besetzt; haben wir aber nicht probiert. Kostenloses W-Lan gibt es, allerdings nur im Lobby-/Bar-Bereich. Im Aufenthaltsraum bei der Bar gibt es auch einen Computer mit Internetanschluss, den man kostenlos benutzen kann. Parkplätze sind kostenlos und direkt am Hotel. Bushaltestelle ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen, von dort aus fährt alle 10 bis 30 Minuten (nachts) ein Bus direkt in die Innenstadt - Fahrzeit ca. 10 Minuten. Bustickets sind direkt an der Rezeption erhältlich und nicht teuer (ich glaube weniger als 1,50 EU pro Einzelfahrt). In der unmittelbaren Umgebung des Hotels gibt es leider nur wenig, auch wenn einige wenige Restaurants zu Fuss oder nach kurzer Autofahrt zu erreichen sind. Letzten Endes wird man aber wohl in der Regel auf die Innenstadt ausweichen. Das Hotel ist von der Autobahn einfach zu erreichen - man muss aber aufpassen, dass das Navi einen nicht über die falsche Autobahnausfahrt und dann durch die Innenstadt lotst. Das ist in Florenz nämlich Selbstmord: Lieber am Ende der Reise auf die Wegbeschreibung von der Hotelwebseite zurückgreifen. Buchung und Bezahlung waren problemlos, allerdings sind 4 Euro städtische Steuern pro Nacht und Gast (!) zusätzlich zum Zimmerpreis bei Abreise in bar (!) zu bezahlen. Die Anzeige "Steuern: 0" bei hotels.com stimmt hier - wieder einmal - nicht! Devamı
