Seaside Hotel Waikiki - Honolulu

The Seaside Hotel is in the heart of Waikiki. Close to all the restaurants and only a couple of blocks from the beach. The hotel staff was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. The hotel was very quiet and we liked the Mexican restaurant next door.

I have been goin to seaside for the last 12 years, before it was open to the public, it has always been the best value,it looks modest, but clean and comfortable as a 4or 5 stars, everything works, no bad surprises with the Seaside. houskeeping is outstanding. The pool is small but on a high floor with a great view,very quiet. The ChaChaCha restaurant […] on site is the place 2 meet with both locals and tourists around a great meal. The only new and improved detail was the staff uniforms, very tasteful. I wish it was still a corporate hotel,it felt like home, but its time for the rest of the world to enjoy this little Waikiki Gem. Devamı

When we checked in this hotel had just changed ownership 2 days before. When we had tried to call to confirm our reservation made online, there was no prompt for the front desk--only for the airline reservation part-time agent for the airline who had previously owned the hotel and used it to house their flight crews between flights, or the general manager, […] or for several named individuals. We selected the gneral manager, and he did not answer or return our call. Same the next day with the airline reservation desk. So we were unsure if the reservation would transfer to the new system OK. Well, we went in the morning we were supposed to arrive (couldn't check in till 4 PM) and sure enough we did have a room reserved OK. But the room was supposed to be a "double" and anywhere I've ever stayed, that meant either at least a queen bed, usually a king, or at least two beds of queen size or in the really cheap hotels, two double beds. Here, it means, ONE double bed, so be warned if there are two of you sharing, it will be tight. I think that as long as the hotel was used mostly for single flight crews, only one person used the room at a time, and it was fine for that. Now, they badly need to put bigger beds in. There is enough room to do so by taking out one end table, turning both end tables sideways, or leaving the end tables alone and taking out the large chair. Parking was absurdly tight in the parking garage. Location was great, one block from the Royal Hawaiian beachfront hotel. But we could hear occasional drunken noise from outside around 2 Am to 4 AM, which you would not expect given the location. Here, "partial ocean view" means a partial view of the ocean front hotel Royal Hawiian, not a view of any water. We recieved no room service during our 2-day stay. Other than the above comments, everything was satisfactory. We did not need our bed made up, only a fresh towel, which I obtained easily at the front desk. 立地で選んだホテルでしたので、近場や夜は行動しやすかったです。車は地下で止めにくく、しかもエレベーターが地階に止まらず、バッゲージを運ぶときは一旦屋外まで出て入り口から入らなければならずに大変でした。部屋で無線LANを使おうとしたら使えなっかたので聞いてみたら「時々使えない人がいるので１階ロビーで試してみて」と言われたのでいつもロビーで使ってました。ロビーにはコーヒーやお茶がいつも用意されていて、フロントのスタッフは皆フレンドリーで親切でした。ただ、日本語を話す人はいないし、日本語表記は全くないので、英語が話せない人には不向きだと思います。
