Aikton Arms - Wigton

A proper pub in a rural village - decent beer, decent food, decent service, decent rooms, friendly staff and locals. Handy for Carlisle, Solway Coast and north west Lake District. Would definitely return.

THe address given on the booking is Wigton, when in actual fact the hotel is at least four miles from Wigton. The bed is no where near long enough, im only 5ft 7 and i could not lay lengthways in the bed because i was too long for it. I thought the shared bathroom would perhaps be an issue but actually was not.....the room was very comfortable with plenty of tea/cofffee making facilities and although the hotel was a little off the beaten track there was everything you'd need ( including a very friendly bar and restaurant ) for a very pleasant stay......I would certainly stay there […] again and am happy to thoroughly recommend it Devamı

The owner was very helpful allowing us early access to the room so we could change for a wedding. The room was spotless. The breakfast was lovely although you had to pay extra for a full english. The room was not en suite, however, the shared bathroom was immaculate and we did not have to queue to use it.

nice place - no ensuite but not too detrimental - nice communal bathroom close by. Breakfast very good and very pleasant staff. Would recommend.

Det framgick inte tydligt nog att badrum och toalett var ute i korridoren vilket överraskade oss lite när vi kom till hotellet. Det var en mycket brant smal trappa upp till rummen. Frukosten var bra och det ingick till viss del även lagad frukost.
