My fiance and myself stayed for long weekend. Overall we were pleased about the place but couple of issues was not up to our satisfaction. The postcode which sent it to us on our booking took us nearby village! Not exactly to place. The room we requested at booking was double bed but when we arrived to room there was one double and one single bed! And there was no much space left at the room! The room was smelling humidity heavily and the central heating was not working. Luckily we got small radiator from very helpful In-charge lady. Another surprising thing was on sunday morning we woke up with fire alarm which was strongly sounding at whole mansion around 8.30am! So we ran out the building with all other guests and stayed for 10mins. It wasn`t really pleasant to wake up on sunday morning. By the way, the mansion is perfect location for quiet, peaceful weekend. Outdoor jacuzzi at garden and walking distance forest make more attractive also. The food served at breakfast was quiet tasty and many options. We recommend to everyone.

it was certainly comfortable, neat, large rooms.and maybe more quiet if you stay outside the main building which is almost the next house. the staff was increadibly helpfull, try to answer all your questions. only a few bus stop away from the center of the city. (takes 1.20 £) , otherwise with taxi 6 or 7 £ far away. great breakfast, you get exactly what you expect from an english breakfast..

We were as a group of 13 people and really enjoyed staying here. Do not think it is far a way from the city central, it's just a 10 min bus ride and the last stop is just 100 meters from the hotel. Plus, there is a 24-hour-open supermarket that you can find everything you wish just very near the hotel. Everything was wonderful there, and I will definitely stay there again if I visit Edinburgh for the second time.

"Clean, comfortable, welcoming staff"
Slightly disappointing breakfast, repetious, however it was classed as 'complementory'. Very clean, spacious rooms. Just a little bit too far from the main attractions as Edinburgh is rather hilly and it's tiring being a tourist!

Fairly central location, 10 minutes walk into town. On site Starbucks and Sainsburys and under hotel car parking (NCP) which, if you present your ticket at checkout is £12.80 for 24 hours. Lovely, clean hotel. Very comfortable,large bed. Ipod docking station (excellent as i forgot my iphone charger), clean kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom is a little […] unusual in that the sink is outside the bathroom - however with two sharing its a good idea. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and gave us maps and various tips on sightseeing. The breakfast was fairly standard. Fresh fruit and cereals, pastries and bread and toasting area. The hot breakfast wasnt amazing - sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs and baked beans but it was sufficient to keep us going until mid afternoon. "Residence Inn Edinburgh - very good"
Residence Inn is a new hotel. It was a bit tricky for us to find them since our sat-nav would not accept their postcode, but we managed in the end. It is surrounded by new office buildings and luxury apartment - many of them are still empty, as it is still under construction. There is a car park right next to it, it cost us £12.80 for over night stay […] (with 20% discount from the hotel.) The reception area is tiny, it looks like you are walking into a bar, but the girl at the reception was very polite, friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice, new and clean. The kitchen area had microwave, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, good range of kitchen utensils, etc., which would be useful for the guests for long stay. We had a problem with our TV in the morning, signal problem or something but nothing major to complain about. There is a nice swedish bakery & cafe called Peter's yard just around the corner from the hotel, where they serve fabulous coffee, cakes, salad, sandwich and pizza. It was worth staying in this hotel just for being close to the bakery! All in all we were quite satisfied with the hotel, the value for money is good. We would stay there again. Devamı
Nice location.Very good and comfortable rooms.Really high speed free internet.Small place for breakfast,too small lobby for a 4 star hotel,very poor breakfast.Poor facilities(ex:they had not even a thermometer!).Serious problem with cleaning the room!!!I would suggest someone stay in this hotel only if some conditions change
"New, good value, but TOO hot."
this hotel seemed brand new, the staff were very helpfull, but a faulty connection on the tv ariel system meant we had to change rooms. the corridors were extremely hot with no air, and the bedroom windows did not open, making it stifling at times. The non exhistant air ventilation system needs to be addressed, then, it will be a good hotel.

Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Room was great and very convenient for the sights and sounds of Edinburgh. Only issue however was how warm the rooms were - would have been good if we could have opened the windows or had some control over the ambient temperature. Overall fantastic and great value for money.

Strategisch gar nicht schlecht gelegen, alles fußläufig erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung aber sehr wenig Raum und Sitzgelegenheiten und daher stressig; Lunchpakete oder Zimmerfrühstück jedoch möglich.

propre, récent, ... chambre correcte mais mal conçue : accès à une pièce douche avec wc non indépendant en passant par un couloir avec un lavabo qui est directement dans la chambre ...?! service type resto U ( on est en face de l'université ...) PRIX vraiment très exagéré pour ce type de chambre / prestations .... on trouve mieux sans problème
"Bara tummen upp!!"
Vi var två personer och bodde här i fyra nätter. När vi kom in till receptionen möttes vi av en fantastiskt trevlig personal och incheckningen gick som smör. Vi gick därefter till vårt rum och när vi öppnat dörren och såg rummet blev vi väldigt positivt överraskade. För en gångs skull var det finare än vad som visats på bilder. Det var också oerhört […] bekvämt på alla sätt. Frukosten var väldigt bra för priset vi betala. För oss tog det ca 20 minuter att gå till Princes street. Kan dock tänka mig att det tar kortare tid om man inte stannar med jämna mellanrum för att titta på de vackra byggnaderna i staden! Det finns dem som klagar på att hotellet var svårt att hitta vilket jag inte kan hålla med om. Visserligen ligger hotellet mellan andra byggnader som ser likadana ut men när man är i området står det klart och tydligt på flera tavlor vilket håll man skall gå för att komma till hotellet. Detta var ett av de mest prisvärda hotell jag har bott på och nästa gång jag besöker Edinburgh bokar jag definitivt ett rum här igen. Devamı
