Hoang Hai Long 1 Hotel - Ho Chi Minh City

Can't complain about the hotel. You get what you pay for.

I went during to Vietnam during December. Stayed for about 2 and half week at this hotel. The Standard Room was slightly cramped and lacked a walk-in shower. That was most disappointing. Everything else was pretty good. One thing was that it could get pretty noisy after 7AM (which was way early for me). Also, I could hear the water running from the […] other room - Slight Annoyance. I didn't stay much in my room, so it was kept clean when I left. There was a TV with cable shows. The AC kept the room well chilled. The Location was very good. Right in the middle of the city. Lots of tutorist around. There's always a taxi in the front when you exit, so transportation was easy. It felt much safer then some of the other places I seen. You can also exchange currency in the hotel, but they would give you less money (I recommend finding a jewelry store close to Ben Thanh Market to get the max exchange rate). We were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff. Very friendly and chatty. But during our stay here, there were a few electricity blackouts within the day. For the room rate, the hotel is good for basic accommodation which is near to Ben Thanh Market and good Jap restaurants.

It was quite reasonably-priced given the location (just a few blocks from Reunification Palace etc) and quality of room (although there was no bathmat, odd, given how meticulous all other aspects of housekeeping were for the place). I only spent one night there, so not too much to say, other than the staff don't speak a heck of a lot of English, so […] either learn basic Vietnamese if staying there longer, or get really good at playing the game of "lost in translation charades" Devamı

Standard huone, jossa yövyimme kaksi yötä. Sijainti loistava. Huone erittäin vaatimaton ja ahdas isojen matkalaukkujen kanssa matkustavalle. Kylppäri myös tosi pieni, katossa ruskeaa kosteusvauriota.. Mutta sänky oli ihan hyvä nukkua, eipä hotellihuoneessa ehtinyt paljon aikaa viettää, kun Saigonissa on niin paljon nähtävää. L’hôtel est tout a fait correct si vous ne voulez qu'y dormir. Mais le confort des chambres standard sont médiocres: petite, sans fenêtre. Les chambres 'superior' ont une fenêtre qui donne sur un mur noir distant de 2m : aucune lumière. Les chambres 'luxe' sont les celles offrant un confort bon avec des fenêtres donnant sur rue. Så himla dålig service från hotellpersonalen! De pratade i telefon, hälsade aldrig och var alltmänt dryga. Kommunicationen fungerade heller inte då de knappt kunde prata eller förstå engelska. Jag tror även att de lurade oss på pengar vid ett tillfälle. Riktigt illa. Hotellfrukosten var helt okej. De slutade däremot servera ny mat en timme innan frukosten […] va slut. Haha! Gäller att va där i tid om man vill ha lite mat. Sängen var underbar! Riktigt stor och rymlig. Sängen var absolut det bästa med hela hotellet. Sängen och gratis AC. Vi hittade däremot en ganska stor insekt (!) i vårt rum. Läget var bra, nära till det mesta! Hur som helst var det inte värt det och jag rekommenderar inte någon lägga sina pengar på detta skitställe. Tänk till och leta vidare. Devamı
